On today’s Sunday Stroll and Roll at Salterforth, we looked up!
Psalm 19 tells us that:
"The skies proclaim the glory of the Lord…
day after day they continue to speak…
they speak without a word or sound…"

God communicates with us through creation, as well as through Scripture. We were all invited to think about how being in nature helps us pay attention to God, and as a response pray this prayer:

"May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
be pleasing to you, my Rock and my Redeemer"

This is happening today - why not pop in?

Definitely not to be missed. Brave the weather and come along and swap your plants and clothes at the Frank Street Centre from 10 - 3 and toys at Barnoldswick Library from 10 - 12. Want something but nothing to swap? Make a donation instead.
Join in our Community Weave - bring along a piece of fabric that means something special to you and share the story behind it. If you’d prefer not to cut up your item, just bring it along and tell us its story.
Students from West Craven High School will be showcasing how they have transformed items of clothing using weaving techniques.
There’ll also be a chance for you to have a go at reusing fabric and trying some weaving yourself.

We used some of these videos in our service today as we continued to think about the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost to bring diverse gifts and equip people to share God's love with our communities.

In a collaboration between the Northern Baptist Association and FuelCast, we present to you the CRADLE OF CHRISTIANITY series.
These videos were first shown at Baptist Assembly 2026 and show Baptist Minister Chris Friend follow mission and ministry in Northumbria from the time of Aiden sharing the Gospel to a Pagen culture, to what people are doing in the area today.

Last weekend members of our church attended the Baptist Assembly in Harrogate.

We listened to stories from across the country and were encouraged by the ways God is at work in different places.

We took along our 'Postcard from West Craven' to contribute to the giant map - and we were very surprised to hear the feedback we had submitted about our conversations about mission being read from the main stage!

We were also pleased to see our minister, Julie receive her handshake, in recognition of becoming a Fully Accredited Minister.

This is happening on Sunday and it looks like it will be another great event.
Unfortunately, due to a prior commitment, we aren't able to be involved - but make sure you don't miss out!

Our family fun day Earby Time Travellers with The Pattern. HM 33rd Regiment of Foot 1770 -1785 promises to be a great day!

There will be live music provided by Ally&Joe Acoustic Duo
and Giz with students from Pendle Music School
plus a Nerf Gun shoot-out, and market stalls.
We're looking forward to welcoming By Odin's Beard, Bumbly Bees, and Raise The Bread.
There will be a great selection of food available including wild boar and venison burgers, hot dogs, chips, ice cream, popcorn, candy floss, and freshly made donuts.

Please note: due to a prior commitment, our friends at the Baptist church will not be serving refreshments. The church will be closed for this event. Toilets and refreshments will be available on the green.
