On today’s Sunday Stroll we read Psalm 139 and thought about how God knows who we are, both inside and out. God also knows where we are and we were invited to share our experiences of God’s presence when we have been far away.

As we journey through life, God is behind us, beside us and goes ahead of us.

Our prayer for today:
Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.
Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.

This Sunday, as it's the first Sunday in the month, we meet in less traditional ways and you're very welcome to join us....

This Sunday, as it's the first Sunday in the month, we meet in less traditional ways and you're very welcome to join us.

The Sunday Stroll and Roll (the route will be suitable for electric off-road wheelchairs) will include a Thought for the Day as we continue our theme of Strolling through the Psalms

or you might prefer to meet indoors for a conversational cafe-style service.

Our Community Cafe in Earby opens tomorrow afternoon from 1 - 3pm.

The Participation and Engagement Team from Carers Link Lancashire will be with us tomorrow, to chat to people about the support they offer.

If you are an unpaid carer in the local area, they can help you with the following:

Information on Respite (short breaks)
Aids and Adaptations to Your Home
Access to Benefit Advice
Grant Support
Peer Support
Course and Activities For you as a Carer

Our garden at Barnoldswick is in need of some work. If you can spare an hour or so on Saturday 22nd August to help us tidy it up, we'd really appreciate it!

There will also be an 'Ideas Board' for you to help us decide what to do with the space to make it an easier to maintain and more usable green space.

In our service this morning, we thought about the story of Jesus and Peter walking on water and chose how to engage with the passage. Some people built Lego models, some researched links with other parts of the Bible, some imaged how Peter felt at different times in the story and others did some mindful colouring.

We loved being part of this great community day yesterday!
