I’d like to say a huge ‘Thank You’ to everyone who has worshipped alongside us over these past months. If you have caught up with Sunday’s service you’ll know that David and I have decided that now life is easing its way back to something a little more normal that we are going to draw our recording of regular worship to an end.
Life isn’t yet remotely normal for us as David is in the clinically extremely vulnerable group and we are still strictly shielding until at least the end of July but now as we begin ‘Ordinary time’ in the church year seems a good point to change things.
We will continue to pray for you all and I’ll keep this page open for prayer requests and so that should you feel you wish to, the videos we’ve already uploaded will all be available to view.
There are lots of opportunities available to us all for online worship and now might be a good time to explore options ...here’s a reminder of ideas I posted previously...
we've probably (especially those of us in rural communities) never had so much choice about when and how we pray and praise.
There are lots of resources on the CofE Church Online website and there is a live streamed Sunday worship anytime from 9am - this is the link for that and lots of other resources
https://www.churchofengland.org/more/media-centre/church-online
You can join the St Mary's Barnard Castle with Whorlton Sunday and Wednesday services on Zoom (that's a good opportunity to 'see' folk from our regular congregation and say hello) to join that you need to be 'added' by the Vicar or Curate so you need to email
[email protected] or
[email protected]
There are also services regularly 'broadcast' by Bishop Paul and from Durham Cathedral - you can find more details on the Diocesan FaceBook page Diocese of Durham and the Cathedral FB page Durham Cathedral
I might even suggest that there has never been a better time to explore the huge variety of styles of worship out there on the internet - you might just be surprised by something unexpected.
Keep safe - Keep well - and Keep Praying 🙏
