Bangor Worldwide Missionary Convention

Bangor Worldwide Missionary Convention ‘Unique’ is probably the best word to describe the Bangor Worldwide Missionary Convention. National representatives are included as often as possible.

As far as is known, there is no other Convention quite like it in the United Kingdom. Speakers from across the world who reflect the broad spectrum of world mission are invited to take part. Mornings are given over to a world prayer focus followed by Bible Reading sessions on a missions related theme, led by keynote speakers. Local mission representatives also take part in the evening meetings alo

ng with young people who have been involved on short–term overseas assignments. A highly informative mission resources exhibition runs alongside the Convention meetings each year, organised by the Northern Ireland Missionary Secretaries Fellowship. At the exhibition, local mission representatives provide updates on the work of their mission, as well as offering advice on how you can personally become involved. Financial support for mission is a vital element of the convention. We thank God that since 1937 millions of pounds have been donated through the Convention for missionary work.

Another long-standing Satellite event in our calendar each year is with our friends at Union Road Presbyterian Church in Magherafelt. Last week, they hosted Hassan John and Timothy Cho for what was a wonderful and uplifting evening, celebrating and flying the flag for worldwide mission. 🌍🙌

Worldwide Satellite Events bring the heat and excitement of the convention to locations across Ireland who partner with us.
Yesterday, Lurgan was one of three satellite locations, hosted at St Saviour’s Church, Dollingstown. We were delighted to have Alistair Begg as our guest speaker — and, of course, the cameras were out for plenty of selfies! 📸
A massive thank you to Rev. Simon Genoe and the church leadership for their warm welcome and for their partnership over many years. We’re incredibly grateful for your continued support and friendship.

Bangor, you know how to end the week! 🌊🔥

Our final Bangor gathering of Worldwide 2026 brought the week to a close at Pickie Arena with plenty of smiles, music, movement and a whole lot of joy! 🙌

From the accordion to the hula hoops and some very enthusiastic actions, there was definitely no shortage of energy!

90 Years of Worldwide! A celebration we won't forget anytime soon 🌍✨

Last night at Waterfront Hall was something truly special as we celebrated 90 years of Worldwide with an unforgettable evening of worship, music, stories and challenge.

🎙️ Truth For Life with Alistair Begg brought an incredible message, with Conrad Mbewe also sharing with us. Two powerful voices reminding us why the call to make Christ known still matters.

🎶 A huge thank you to New Irish Arts, along with every musician and singer who helped make the evening so special. The music was beautifully crafted and brought the whole night to life.

🌍 The Global Village was buzzing before and after the event, with exhibitors from around the world connecting with people, sharing their stories and showcasing the work God is doing across the globe.

And behind it all, The WaterFront Convention Hall our technical teams, production crew, volunteers, stewards, organisers and everyone who worked behind the scenes to make the night happen.

90 years. One incredible celebration. And a story that continues...❤️
