4th Bangor Boys' Brigade

4th Bangor Boys' Brigade The Boys' Brigade provides a balanced programme of activities for children and young people from 4 to 18 years old. Where have we come from?

The very first Boys' Brigade company was formed in Glasgow in 1883. Our Company has been in existance since 1933. The Brigade's Founder Sir William Alexander Smith, included in our Object "The Promotion of habits of Obedience, Reverence, Discipline, Self-Respect and all that tends towards a true Christian manliness" and that has not been changed. What has changed is how we go about promoting that

object. We recognise that the influences surrounding our young people are not always helpful and that too many lose control at great cost to themselves, their families and the community. The answer is to catch the energy and enthusiasm of youth and to channel it purposefully. The Boys' Brigade Motto is: 'Sure & Steadfast'

The motto is taken from the bible, the book of Hebrews, Chapter 6, Verse 19.

Starting this Tuesday, from 7:30–8:30pm in the coffee bar, our 321 course will help unpack that question.

For anyone interested in finding out more about Christianity, this is a great place to start.

Join us this Saturday for our next Christmas event... A SPEED QUIZ - it's all done on tablets and loads of fun.

There'll be mulled punch, tea, coffee, mince pies, short bread and other treats. lots of prizes to be won and there's even a trophy for 1st place!!

Don't worry about having to bring a team, we'll sort it all on the night.

Trinity Holiday Bible Club “Champions Challenge” Kicks off tomorrow night! We will be meeting each weekday evening from 6:30pm to 8pm.

Then on Sunday at church we will have a service dedicated to the Holiday Bible Club (10.30 am to 11.30 am).
