Irish Methodist World Mission Partnership's MEET Team to The Gambia are getting ready to go! 🌎✈️
The team of eleven Methodists from across Ireland will be setting off on 24th October to spend time with our Methodist brothers and sisters in The Gambia.
The MEET Team will overlap with this year’s Presidential Visit, with MCI President, Rev Dr Janet Unsworth and her husband John joining the group, accompanied by Rev Dr Andrew Ashdown, who serves with the Methodist Church in Britain as Partnership Coordinator for Africa.
The group would greatly appreciate your prayers as they make final preparations in the month leading up to their visit. Please also pray for their hosts in The Gambia, that everything would run smoothly for them, and that spending time together exploring what God is doing in The Gambia will be a blessing for all who take part.
In addition to your prayers, you can also support the visit financially. Contributions from team members have already covered the majority of the costs (travel, accommodation, meals etc.), but your donations will help with the remaining total to ensure that the team aren't a financial burden on their hosts. After these costs have been covered, any extra funds will be given as a gift to the Methodist Church The Gambia to support their ministry.
