St Andrew's Presbyterian Church

St Andrew's Presbyterian Church Gathering every Sunday at 11am. We meet together every Sunday morning at 11am and throughout the week. You're really welcome any time - we'd love to see you.

We’re a friendly, informal and enthusiastic community of people who are constantly learning what it means to love God passionately, love others unconditionally, and share the eternal hope of Jesus with everyone we meet! At St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church you’ll discover a group of ordinary people from different backgrounds, life experiences and ages, who have one thing in common – a love for God,

and a desire to share this love with others. We don’t pretend to have life sorted – but many of us have been and are continuing to be changed by the love of Jesus, and are seeking to live as His disciples in the world. There’s something for everyone, no matter what age or background. If you'd like to find out more or would like to speak with someone about the church family or what it means to follow Jesus, please get in touch with the Minister, Mark Johnston (M: 07736 769 744; E: [email protected]).

SUNDAY WORSHIP, 6th SEPTEMBER 2026, 11am: AN UNEXPECTED INTERRUPTION OR A DIVINE APPOINTMENT?

Thanks for joining with us as we worship God together as a church family. We'll be singing praises to God, listening and talking to Him in prayer, reading and learning from His written Word, the Bible, and seeking, with His help, to grow as followers of Jesus.

We'll be continuing our teaching series in the Book of Acts - as we look at the early Church, dependent on the Holy Spirit, seeking to carry the Good News of Jesus into a hostile world, with great courage and conviction. We'll be focussing in on Acts 8:26-40,
as the Lord sends Philip to speak with a man who needed to hear about Jesus, and his life was transformed as a result. We'll be chatting with some of our young adults who served in Young Life Camp in Scotland over the summer, and we'll be taking time to pray
for them, and also the unfolding situation in Nepal.
As Praise & Play, Kids 4 Jesus and Bible Class get going again after the summer, we'll be kick-starting a new series with our children about the importance of reading the Bible, as God speaks to us through it and points us always to Jesus! Little Wonders (for babies aged 0-1), Praise & Play (for toddlers aged 2-3), Kids 4 Jesus (for Pre and Primary School Children) and Bible Class (for Year 8-12 young people) will be happening during the second half of the service. And the Prayer Room (Room 1) will be available throughout the day. We’ll also enjoy tea and coffee in the Welcome Centre afterwards!
Don't forget, you're welcome to join us for prayer at 10:30am before the Worship gathering, in Room 1, and we'll be having a Prayer & Divine Healing Gathering at 6:30pm too.
Feel free to share this info with others. We’re looking forward to worshipping God together!

A big thanks to Elizabeth and David Murdie, along with Geraldine, Julie, Lynn and Ben, for creating a special reflective Prayer Space in Room 1 (at the front of the church building, just off the Welcome Centre), for anyone across the church family and wider community to use this week. It’s a place to be still, to listen and talk to God in prayer, and to use some of the materials available to pray for yourself, for loved ones, for the church family, for the wider community and world.

There’s no need to book a slot. Just come and go as you please. And feel able to invite others. All are welcome!

The Prayer Space will be open from Tuesday 1st September to Tuesday 8th September, 8:30am to 10pm each day. Feel able to call in any time you’re free.

Last Sunday morning, we had the privilege of having Pastor Alexandru Buzila with us. Alexandru used to be the pastor in Valentin and Julia Lunca's home church in Giurgiulesti village in the south of Moldova, before being called to plant other churches in Moldova.

This evening, Thursday 3rd September, from 6pm-8pm in the Welcome Centre at St Andrew’s, Alexandru will be sharing a little bit about the situation in Moldova, the ministry work he's involved in, and sharing a short message from the Bible. A number of our friends from Moldova will be there, and there'll be tea, coffee and desserts available for everyone. It should be a good time together, and English translation will be available. If you're free, and interested in coming along, you'd be really welcome.

ABIDING IN JESUS
WEEK OF PRAYER - Tuesday 1st-8th September 2026, 8:30am-10pm daily

Jesus: “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5)

As we journey into the autumn and beyond, we want to begin this new season in prayer. Resetting our gaze on Jesus…resting in Him…remaining in Him…recommitting our lives to Him…and praying for all that God will do in and through us this year and beyond.

Elizabeth and David Murdie have kindly put together a Prayer Space in St Andrew’s, that can be used from 8:30am-10pm each day, from Tuesday 1st September to Tuesday 8th September. The Prayer space is open to everyone across the church family and wider community. Come on your own, come with your family or friends, come and spend time with your ministry team as you seek to rest and remain in Christ Jesus, allowing Him to minister to your souls.

Throughout the week, there’ll also be specific times where we can gather with others in focussed times of prayer. You’re really welcome to join us for any of these. Here’s a list of these Prayer times:

• Tuesday 1st September: 12:30pm-1pm (Praying for the Church Family)
• Wednesday 2nd September: 9am-9:30am (Praying for Clandeboye Primary School and all our schools across the community)
• Thursday 3rd September: 12:30pm-1pm (Praying for those working in many different ‘frontlines’)
• Thursday 3rd September: 7:30pm (Prayer Walk around the local community)
• Friday 4th September: 12:30pm-1pm (Praying for families, international friends and seniors)
• Saturday 5th September: 8:30am-9am (Praying for the Lord’s Kingdom to come here on earth as it is in heaven…)
• Sunday 6th September: 6:30pm: Prayer & Divine Healing Gathering
• Monday 7th September: 10am: Scripture Union Prayer Gathering
• Monday 7th September: 12:30pm-1pm (Praying for one another)
• Tuesday 8th September: 8pm (A time of prayer together as the Prayer Space comes to a close)

If you’d like prayer or if we can be of help in any way, please contact Mark on 07736 769 744.
