What if our deepest struggle isn’t with the world around us, but with what’s going on inside us?

Last Sunday in Genesis 4, we explored Cain and Abel’s story with a little help from John Steinbeck’s East of Eden and Mumford & Sons Timshel.

It’s an ancient story that exposes something painfully familiar: our capacity to hurt others, resist God and become our own worst enemy. Sin isn’t just a problem somewhere “out there”. It’s crouching at our own door.

But our hope isn’t simply in trying harder. It’s in Jesus.
Sin takes us east of Eden. Jesus brings us home.

Join us tomorrow as we continue Genesis: Revealing God. Exposing Humanity.

Alpha is a relaxed and friendly space to explore the big questions of life, hear different perspectives, and have honest conversations.

Starting this week we will be meeting on Thursdays from 6.30pm–8.30pm at Burnett House, Banchory.

Whether you’ve never been to church, haven’t been for years, or simply want to explore faith a little more, you’re very welcome.

Genesis continues tomorrow.

Last Sunday we began at the beginning — exploring what Genesis reveals about who God is, and who we are.

Tomorrow we continue the journey.

If church isn’t normally your thing, you’ve never been before, or you’re simply curious about faith — you are especially welcome. You don’t need a church background, you don’t need to know what to expect, and you don’t need to have everything figured out.
