At KingdomWay we love seeing so many children come through our doors on a Sunday morning! We believe that children are a delight to have in our midst. After all, Jesus always made time for the children he encountered and so we do too.

“An apple a day,” they say. But it’s true! An apple really can be the difference between a child having a healthy after school snack or no snack at all.

Last year we provided 2,768 apples to our Restart Social Supermarket clients in their weekly food shops.

The very reason we have the letters written to the early churches, was that they were getting things wrong. They were alive in their faith and the power of God was at work among them, but even they were not discerning things correctly and had to be instructed, so why would we be arrogant enough to think that we are better attuned to God than them? Everything we believe God is saying to us needs to be measured by the plumb line of scripture.

That’s the number of bananas we provided to people in our community last year.

Did you know that a cluster of bananas is called a hand? So to put this another way, we provided 330 hands last year. What’s beautiful about that is that a banana isn’t just a banana to us. For us it’s literally extending a hand of help to someone who really needs it. It’s feeding a family struggling to make ends meet despite working multiple jobs. It could be a literal helping hand or a hand of bananas but we are here for when life feels hard.
