As a church family at Ballydown Presbyterian, we want to extend our warmest congratulations to our member, **Elizabeth Smyth MBE**, on being awarded an **MBE in the King's Birthday Honours for services to Health and Social Care**.
Elizabeth dedicated more than 40 years to nursing, serving as a Medicines Management Specialist Nurse within the Southern Health and Social Care Trust, where her commitment to patient safety and care made a lasting difference to countless lives.
This honour is a fitting recognition of a lifetime spent caring for others. Those of us who know Elizabeth will recognise that her compassion, selflessness and dedication extend far beyond her professional career and into every aspect of her life.
The timing of this award makes it especially poignant. Following the recent loss of her beloved husband, Sam, after his courageous battle with cancer, Elizabeth and her family have endured an incredibly difficult season. Many have witnessed first-hand the loving care and devotion she showed to Sam throughout those challenging months.
While we continue to remember and pray for Elizabeth and her family, we also pause to celebrate this wonderful achievement. We are immensely proud of Elizabeth and give thanks for her faithful service, both to her profession and to those around her.
Please join us in congratulating Elizabeth on this richly deserved honour. 👏
Congratulations, Elizabeth Smyth MBE — a truly deserving recipient.
