What a Sunday as we wrapped up our Summer in Psalms series together 🙌
Today Stephen Costello took us through Psalm 139 with a message called No Filter Needed.
We live in a world where it’s easy to present the polished version of ourselves - but with God, there’s no need to hide, edit or pretend.
He knows everything about us and He is interested in us.
He is everywhere - and He will never abandon us.
He is all-powerful - and He has it sorted.
Because God knows everything, we have nothing to hide.
Because God is everywhere, we have nowhere to fear.
Because God is all-powerful, we have nothing to control.
And David’s prayer at the end of the Psalm gives us the challenge:
“Search me, O God, and know my heart…”
We can bring every part of ourselves to God - the questions, fears, failures, anxious thoughts and the things we’d rather keep hidden.
No filter needed. Because ultimately, we already have one - Jesus.
Through Him we are forgiven, redeemed, restored and set free. ❤️
