Over the weekend of 18-20 October, Aghaderg Parish Church in Loughbrickland hosted a very successful Vintage Harvest Festival for the whole community.

Our special weekend has finished and we really enjoyed opening up our church to the local community who came to view the wonderful displays depicting different lines from the harvest hymn "We plough the fields and scatter the good seed on the land"

There were many different comments which included "breathtaking" "awe inspiring" "beautiful".
If you were not able to come you missed a real treat!

What a wonderful service this evening in Aghaderg Church to mark the start of our Vintage Harvest Festival. A well filled Church heard the choir from The Right Key sing wonderful songs of worship and some explained their journey.
The festival will be open again tomorrow from 10.00am until 9.00pm. Come and see the wonderful displays depicting the Harvest hymn We plough the fields and scatter!

The day has arrived for the start of our Vintage Harvest Festival.
All is in place, flower arrangements, scarecrows, vintage equipment, and tractors in the graveyard.
You will be assured of a warm welcome as you view everything on displayed, refreshments will also be served in the Sir Henry Wilson Memorial Hall during the festival.

Festival opening times:
Friday 10.00am - 9.00pm
Saturday 10.00am - 9.00pm
Sunday 2.00pm - 6.30pm

Festival Services:
Friday 8.00pm
Sunday 12.15pm & 7.00pm

The Church is starting to be transformed and from what is there already, it is going to be absolutely beautiful.
Flower arrangements, scarecrows, vintage items and vintage tractors.

The countdown is well and truly on now for the Aghaderg Vintage Harvest Festival, beginning next Friday (18th)
This evening we had the launch service including the announcement of the winners of the competitions which included:
Colouring Competition:
1st Isabelle, Ballydown Nursery
Runner-up Leah, Loughbrickland GB

Scarecrow Competition (Primary School Age)
1st, Donard Special School
Runner-up, Scarva Primary School

Scarecrow Competition (Secondary School Age)
1st Steadfast Youth Fellowship
Runner-up, Glascar and Donaghmore GB

There is a wide variations of scarecrows on display and you all have the opportunity to view them along the the rest of the festival beginning next Friday until Sunday (18th-20th), looking forward to seeing you all there!

11 scarecrows have arrived in Aghaderg Church, judging has taken place and winners will be announced this evening at the launch of our Vintage Harvest Festival at 7.00pm. You are welcome to come along!

The Vintage Harvest Festival is starting to take place, some of the props have arrived!!

The colouring competition pictures are all in place and a couple of the scarecrows have arrived. Judging takes place tomorrow (Friday) at 5pm, with the winners being announced at the launch of our festival at 7.00pm.
