Now that the days are getting shorter and colder it’s tempting to huddle indoors and miss out on social interaction. Why not take a walk up to the wee Hub on a Monday morning? We’re open from 10am until 1pm, but you can pop in any time and just stay for an hour if that suits you. You’ll find a warm, friendly group (men and women, young and old), a hot drink and a fine piece as well as lots of chat and laughs. Don’t worry about coming in on your own, all our regulars did that at one time, and will make you very welcome. Every Monday, 10am-1pm, the wee Kirk building across from the Co-op.

Today we celebrate 10 years of Belhelvie Community Trust! 🙌 🥳 🤝

A decade ago, a small group of passionate volunteers and trustees came together with a shared goal: to support and enhance life across our parish — from Balmedie, Belhelvie and Potterton, to Whitecairns and Blackdog. Thanks to their vision and commitment, our local not-for-profit charity was born.

Since then, Belhelvie Community Trust has grown into a valued part of the community, supporting a wide range of local projects, helping other community groups thrive, and building meaningful partnerships with local authorities and organisations. From environmental improvements and youth initiatives to inclusive community events, and running community led buildings, everything we do is grounded in care, collaboration and a deep love for where we live.

Our heartfelt thanks go to that original group who laid the foundations of the Trust — some of whom are still with us today — and to every volunteer, past and present, who has given their time and energy to make a difference. A special thank you goes to our current Chair, Rosemary Nixon, and our Secretary, Rosie Nicol, whose unwavering dedication and leadership continue to guide us forward.

As we look to the future, we remain open-hearted and hopeful. We always welcome new members and volunteers — everyone is welcome, and every voice matters. Our projects are inclusive and community-led, and we’re always looking for people who care about making our villages even better places to live.

Here’s to the next 10 years — building together, with community at the heart of all we do. 🧡

Lovely Vicky brought in some wonderful gifts of tea, coffee, milk, sugar and shortbread, which was very good timingas our stocks were very low!
We had a chat about the Co ops involvement within communities especially supporting warm hubs
