'O God, You are my God; early will I seek You; my soul thirsts for You; my flesh longs for You in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water. So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, to see Your power and Your glory. Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise You. Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name. My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness, and my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips. Have you ever been in a situation where there seems to be no light at the end of the tunnel - rather the distress and burden just seems to increase? The matter can be on your mind all day long and maybe even disrupt your sleep at night? The author of Psalm 63, David, wrote this Psalm while in the desert so he knew all about woes in this life, yet he was able to declare of God in v 3 'Your lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise You.' David came to the realisation that nothing in this world could ever satisfy - except God. David sought God early each day and when we too seek God first thing every morning it shapes the remainder of the day and brings us peace and we can rejoice knowing that despite the circumstances, God is in control. But to be 'in the shadow of His wings' requires close proximity to God - we can't dwell in someone's shadow if we are not walking closely to them. We must, as His children, stay close to the Father and then in every situation we can 'trust despite the trouble', knowing that our Sovereign Lord alone has the power to keep us safe and secure. We as His precious, blood-bought children will acknowledge, with grateful and
thankful hearts, that He chooses to do so.

At our 11 a.m. service we'll gather around the Lord's Table as we remember Christ's sacrifice for each of us. We look forward to hearing the message that Mark Millar shares with us from God's word.

‘And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. For the last number of weeks there's been a giant advertising poster mounted on the Dhu Varren railway bridge between Portrush & Portstewart - it's advertising a music event that happened at the weekend. The 3 large words emblazoned across it 'ARE YOU
READY?', catch my attention every time I drive past it and the thought that comes to me each time I see it is simply - 'Am I ready to meet God?'. There's one certainty in life - each one of us will one day stand before God to give an account of our lives - either asa redeemed soul saved by the precious blood of Jesus, with our names written in the Lamb's Book of Life, or as an unsaved,
unbelieving soul condemned to a lost eternity. I question myself - as a believer do I live every day 'full out' for my Lord & Master? Am I obedient in everything that He asks me to do for Him? Do the unsaved around me look on my life and think 'she's got something that I need in my life - i.e. the Lord?'. Do I continually seek the Lord in and through every circumstance of life? Do I talk to Him daily and listen for His voice? Do I immerse myself daily His God-breathed Word - the Bible? Am I actually ready to meet God? It both scares and shames me when I answer all these questions honestly. But praise God I am no longer condemned because of Christ's work on Calvary - but what would strike absolute fear to my heart was if I had to answer all these questions without knowing the Lord Jesus Christ as my own personal Saviour. Dear friend what side of the fence are you on? Do you personally know Christ as your Saviour & Lord or have you continued to reject His mercy, grace & love? Those 3 words, 'ARE YOU
READY?' are so relevant to each of our lives. So as believers let's live prepared for His coming or His home calling - 'Only let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel.' Philippians 1 v 27 Unbelieving friend - 'ARE YOU READY?' if not 'Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.' 2 Corinthians 6 v 2
