Ballymena Baptist Church

Ballymena Baptist Church On Sundays, our aim is to create an environment where you can feel relaxed in coming into this church. Our Sunday services are at 11am and 6.30pm.

At Ballymena Baptist our desire is to present God, and His love, in a way that both enables believers to grow in their faith and also challenges individuals who do not have a personal relationship with Christ. It is our personal hope that we not only provide a welcoming facility for the local community, but that we will also be a place where people experience the joy of forgiveness, reconciliation

and the reality of God’s unconditional love. There are a range of facilities for young families from a fully staffed crèche to kids club and Sunday schools during the services. Throughout the week you could find our building in use for all sorts of activities. These include prayer meetings, ladies groups, BB and GB parade nights, craft classes, 5-a-side football, worship band practice, informal ‘chill-out’ evenings for our 20-30′s group, or our more senior friends enjoying a mid-day meal at the 50+ club. We also have a very active youth group who meet on Saturday nights for Boom youth club, and on Sunday nights for DEEP. Have a look at the groups section of this website to find out more about all that goes on at Ballymena Baptist. If you have no other church commitments, we would encourage you, and if applicable your family, to regularly join with us at Ballymena Baptist Church. Please feel free to contact us if you want to discuss anything regarding either spiritual matters or those of a more practical nature.

Would you like to feel more equipped and confident in caring for and encouraging others within the church and beyond?

The Caring for One Another course is designed to help us grow together in supporting those we engage with in everyday life. The sessions will be informal, with opportunities for discussion, reflection and learning from one another as we consider how we already care for each other and how we can continue to grow in these areas.

This Sunday evening James will be sharing from Hebrews 10:26-39.

Check the passage out below 👇🏽

If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.

How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace? For we know him who said, “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” and again, “The Lord will judge his people.” It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Remember those earlier days after you had received the light, when you endured in a great conflict full of suffering. Sometimes you were publicly exposed to insult and persecution; at other times you stood side by side with those who were so treated. You suffered along with those in prison and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property, because you knew that you yourselves had better and lasting possessions. So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded.

You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. For,

“In just a little while,
he who is coming will come
and will not delay.”

And,

“But my righteous one will live by faith.
And I take no pleasure
in the one who shrinks back.”

But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have faith and are saved.

We would love for you to join us in person this Sunday morning at 11.00am at Ballymena Baptist Church.

This Sunday Pastor Steven will be sharing with us from John 8:52-59. Check out John 8:48-59 below 👇🏻

The Jews answered him, “Aren’t we right in saying that you are a Samaritan and demon-possessed?”

“I am not possessed by a demon,” said Jesus, “but I honor my Father and you dishonor me. I am not seeking glory for myself; but there is one who seeks it, and he is the judge. Very truly I tell you, whoever obeys my word will never see death.”

At this they exclaimed, “Now we know that you are demon-possessed! Abraham died and so did the prophets, yet you say that whoever obeys your word will never taste death. Are you greater than our father Abraham? He died, and so did the prophets. Who do you think you are?”

Jesus replied, “If I glorify myself, my glory means nothing. My Father, whom you claim as your God, is the one who glorifies me. Though you do not know him, I know him. If I said I did not, I would be a liar like you, but I do know him and obey his word. Your father Abraham rejoiced at the thought of seeing my day; he saw it and was glad.”

“You are not yet fifty years old,” they said to him, “and you have seen Abraham!”

“Very truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am!” At this, they picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus hid himself, slipping away from the temple grounds.
