"He cancelled the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross." — Colossians 2:14 (ESV)

The heart of the hymn What He’s Done is simple, but it carries the weight of eternity: Jesus has finished the work we could never complete ourselves.
So much of life is built around trying to earn, fix, or prove. We try to make things right, to measure up, to carry the weight of our own mistakes and expectations. But the gospel speaks a different word—one of completion, not striving.
At the cross, Christ didn’t make a partial payment. He didn’t open a door and leave us to find our own way through. He cancelled the debt entirely. What once stood against us has been taken away, not minimized or delayed, but fully dealt with.
This changes how we live.
We no longer approach God trying to earn His approval; we come because we already have it in Christ. We don’t define ourselves by what we’ve done wrong, but by what He has done right. And we don’t walk through life trying to prove our worth—we walk in the freedom of a love that has already declared us forgiven.
That truth doesn’t remove struggle, but it does remove condemnation. Even when we fail, the cross still stands. Even when we feel unworthy, grace remains unchanged. The finished work of Jesus becomes the foundation beneath everything else.
So when this hymn is sung, it is more than music—it is a declaration. The story is settled. The debt is gone. The work is done.

Lord Jesus,
Thank You for what You have done for me at the cross. Thank You that my debt has been cancelled and my sins are forgiven completely, not because of anything I have done, but because of Your grace.
Help me to live in the freedom of that truth. When I am tempted to earn what You have already given, remind me that Your work is finished. When I feel unworthy, remind me that Your love has already spoken a better word over my life.
Teach me to rest in Your grace and walk in the confidence of Your finished work.
In Your name I pray,
Amen.

"I will sing to the LORD as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have being." — Psalm 104:33 (ESV)

There’s something powerful about a faith that doesn’t stay in one place.
The song I Sing Wherever I Go carries that idea beautifully: worship that travels with you. Not confined to a church building, not limited to a moment of Sunday gathering, but alive in the ordinary spaces of life—school corridors, work shifts, bus rides, kitchens, quiet walks, and crowded streets.
Psalm 104 paints the picture of a life saturated with praise. The psalmist doesn’t describe singing as an event, but as a way of being. “As long as I live,” he says. That means worship isn’t dependent on circumstances—it’s rooted in relationship.
Some days, singing feels natural. Joy overflows easily when life is light and hopeful. Other days, the song is quieter. Not because God is less worthy, but because life feels heavier. Yet even then, choosing to sing becomes an act of faith. It is a declaration that God is still present, still good, still worthy of trust.
To “sing wherever you go” doesn’t always mean audible music. It can be the posture of your heart—the decision to carry gratitude instead of complaint, peace instead of panic, hope instead of despair. It is a life that reflects God’s goodness even when no one is watching.
Wherever you find yourself today, you are not without a song. God places worship within you that circumstances cannot erase. The question is not whether the song exists, but whether you will let it rise.
Prayer
Lord God,
Thank You for placing a song within my life that is not dependent on my surroundings. Teach me to carry worship in every place I go, not just in moments of comfort or gathering.
When joy is easy, keep me grateful. When life is heavy, remind me that praise is still possible. Shape my heart so that my life reflects Your goodness in every situation.
Let my thoughts, my words, and my actions become a song that honours You wherever I am.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

Not just a fast but an incredible feat - Canon Stuart Lloyd managed to go 72 hours without food to raise funds for Christian Aid Week. 😲

Canon Lloyd, who served for 27 years as Rector of Ballymena Parish and now lives in the nearby village of Broughshane, raised more than £3,350, with much of the money coming from the good people of St Patrick's Parish Church, Broughshane as well as from the wider community. 👏

On business hours during his three fast days, Canon Lloyd sat in the mall outside James McNeill Grocery and hardware store in the village, collecting donations and raising awareness of Christian Aid’s work. 😇

The author of this Facebook post can barely go three hours without a snack, so we are amazed that Canon Lloyd managed three days without food. 😂

Please join us in congratulating Canon Lloyd on his remarkable sacrifice. We are grateful to him and to everyone who sponsored him so generously. ❤
