Praying for all our children as they return to school, for protection, wisdom, courage, good friendships and that they would know the presence of God with them each day.

Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

We need to get real about the Gospel.

The Gospel is simple.

We are sinners.
Christ died for sinners.
He rose again.
And through repentance and faith in Him, we can be saved.

Yet sometimes we make it far more complicated than it needs to be.

What we really need is...

Less brands - more Jesus!
Less ministries / denominations competing - more churches proclaiming Christ!
Less apathy - more prayer!
Less comfort - more compassion!
Less programmes - more Gospel!
Less image - more holiness!
Less complacency - more urgency!
Less trying to impress Christians - more reaching the lost!
Less talking about broken lives - more going to them!

There are people all around us who are hurting, lonely, addicted, hopeless and broken. They don't need another polished Christian brand. They need Christ.

Paul said in 1 Corinthians 2:2:
“For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.”

And Scripture reminds us:
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes.” (Romans 1:16 - the verse that George Barkley preached on at our evening service last night)

It is time we stopped making Christianity about us, our churches, our ministries and our comfort and got back to the simplicity of the Gospel.

Broken lives don't need religion dressed up.
They need Jesus.

Less of us. More of Him.

PRAYING FOR ALL YOUNG PEOPLE RECEIVING EXAM RESULTS 🙏

Whether you received your A-Levels last week or are getting your GCSE results today, these moments can bring a mixture of excitement, disappointment, relief or uncertainty.

Whatever your results, remember that your grades do not define who you are or determine your worth or future.

The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 3:5–6 to:
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.”

Praying that every young person will know God’s peace today and trust Him with whatever comes next. He sees the bigger picture, and our future is safest in His hands. 🙏❤️
