The WM, Officers and Members of the District are shocked and saddened to learn of the passing of our Highly Esteemed District Lecturer, Worshipful Bro Norman Montgomery.

Bro Norman was the epitome of a true Orangeman. Well known throughout the Country for his lecturing ability, any of us who were fortunate to be initiated into the order by him, his brother or his Late Father would have received their degrees to as High a standard as is possible in the institution.

His dedication to all the Orders over the Last 50 years has been immeasurable.

We as a District have lost not only our brother, but a true friend.

Our sincere sympathy to His family circle at this heart breaking time.

LAMONT, James, peacefully on 16th July 2024 at the Cottage Care Home, Coleraine and formerly of Mill Row, Broughshane.

Service of thanksgiving for the life of James was held in Alan Francey’s Funeral Church on Friday 19th July 2024 followed by interment in Second Presbyterian Churchyard, Broughshane.

No flowers please.
