Exodus 18v13-25: The Importance of Generals and Lieutenants.

Every army must have its generals but in order to function properly and accomplish its purposes it must also have its sergeants, Lieutenants and captains. Likewise the Church must have both its generals and it's Lieutenants if it is to accomplish all that God intents. All are essential.

Philippians 1v20-26: That Christ may be Exalted.
Whatever happens a believer should recognise the sovereign work and control of God in and over their circumstances, presenting us with opportunities to exalt and glorify Jesus. Let us pray that we do not allow the difficult circumstances outside our control detract us from using the situation to Christ's glory.

No matter what circumstances might seem to determine our path, it is ultimately God who is master of our path and destiny. That being the case we can have hope and courage in any circumstances.

Proverbs 15v24-26: Going Upwards or Going Downwards. The decisions we make every day will determine whether our present lives will go upwards or downwards. They will also determine where we will go after we leave this world and face death. Let us hear God's wisdom on the issue.

Proverbs 15v22-23: Receiving and Giving Advice: It is important that we are humble enough to receive advice. However, we must be careful about whom we take that advice from. It should be those with more experience or skill than ourselves and whose moral character is sound. We must also be careful about the advice that we ourselves give to others.
