One of the great encouragements of the past few months has been welcoming new members into the fellowship of our congregation.

We give thanks to God for bringing Sam and Erin, Lois, Damaris, and Liam and Heather into communicant membership.

Each of their stories is different, but together they remind us that the Lord is still at work building His church, keeping His promises, and gathering His people to Himself.

It has been a joy to hear their professions of faith and to welcome them into the life of the congregation.

Please pray that they would continue to grow in grace, in their love for Christ, and in their service among His people.

“And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.” — Acts 2:47

God keeps His promises.

What do Zorro, Scooby-Doo, Sherlock Holmes, Russell from Up, and Indiana Jones have in common?

They all turned up at our CY Treasure Hunt on Saturday night!

Despite a brief shower of rain, Ballyboley Forest provided the perfect setting for an evening of clues, teamwork, and adventure. Some teams navigated the course like seasoned explorers, while others discovered routes that weren’t exactly on the map!

After the hunt, we gathered back together for hot dogs, fellowship, and, of course, the treasure hidden inside the treasure chest.

A great evening was had by all, with plenty of laughs, memorable costumes, and a little bit of detective work along the way.

Thank you to everyone who came along and made it such an enjoyable night.

Think you’ve done a treasure hunt before?

Think again.

This Saturday at 7pm, it’s time to put your clue-solving skills to the test.

Dress up. Team up. Hunt down the treasure.

There’ll be a prize for the best costume, bragging rights for the winners, and supper for everyone.

Now the important question…

What are you coming dressed as?

The birth of Jesus is a subject we tend not to think about outside of Christmas time. It also might be something you consider a relatively unimportant part of the gospel - the circumstances of his birth ranking a dim and distant second to the events of his death when it comes to salvation. After all, it's his death that saves us, not his birth!

But the events of his birth are absolutely crucial for salvation - they determine whether his death really can save sinners or saves no-one at all.

The writers of the Apostles' Creed recognised the importance of Jesus' birth to his mission and included it within the creed, summarising the teaching of scripture in the line - 'he was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary'.

What do the circumstances of his birth tell us about Jesus? Why was it necessary for Jesus to be born in this way? What does it mean for us?

If you would like to come along to our service on Sunday morning as we examine the circumstances of Jesus' birth as revealed in scripture you are very warmly invited to join us - we would love to see you.

The service is at at 11.00 am - come as you are.

What is the purpose of life?

People spend years searching for meaning, purpose, and satisfaction, yet the Westminster Shorter Catechism begins with a simple and profound answer:

“Man’s chief end is to glorify God, and to enjoy Him forever.”

We were not created to live for ourselves, but to know God, delight in Him, and bring Him glory in all that we do.

The more we understand who God is, the more we discover what we were created for.

God keeps His promises.

The country, the community, the family you come from has a huge impact on the person you are and the life you live.

But there's another aspect of where we come from that has an even greater influence on the people we are and the lives we live - and that's whether we come from God or are the product of random chance and evolutionary processes.

Our identity, worth, values, morals all flow from where we come from and where we believe we come from. So where do we come from - a creating God or chance explosion?

That's the question we'll be considering as we continue our study of the Apostles' Creed this coming Sunday.

If you would like to come along to our service on Sunday morning at 11.00 am you are very welcome - we would love to see you.

This year’s Footsteps (Sunday School) Prize Giving gave us an opportunity to pause and thank God for the many young people in Ballyclare Reformed Presbyterian Church.

Across the congregation, we rejoice in having children, teenagers, young adults, families, and older generations all worshipping together. We do not take that blessing for granted. The presence of so many young people is a kindness from the Lord and a reminder of our responsibility to teach them the Scriptures faithfully.

We are especially thankful for our Footsteps teachers who have given their time throughout the year to open God’s Word, answer questions, and encourage our young people in the things of God.

Our prayer is not simply that they would gain knowledge, but that through the reading and teaching of Scripture they would come to know Christ for themselves, trusting in Him as Saviour and Lord.

Please join us in praying for every child and teenager represented here, that the Lord would continue His work in their lives and that His Word would bear much fruit in the years to come.

“Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God.” — Mark 10:14

God keeps His promises.

Who is Jesus?

There's no greater question you could ever ask - and no more important answer you could hear.

Answers given to this question range from a fictional character to the Son of God.

But who is he really?

There is no more debated, derided, divisive, influential, impactful, transforming person in the whole of history - but who is he really?

If you've asked yourself this question but have never found an answer this is the question we'll be considering as we continue our study of the Apostles' Creed this coming Sunday.

If you would like to come along to our service on Sunday morning at 11.00 am you are very welcome - we would love to see you.

Come as you are.
