It is with sadness we inform you of the passing of Sharon Bradford-Giaccardi.

Peacefully on the 6th September 2026.

Sharon Elizabeth, a much-loved daughter of the late Wesley and Elizabeth, a cherished wife of Thierry and a devoted mum of Lucie, Samuel and Marco. Also, a dear sister of the late Ian.

Family home private please.

A service of thanksgiving for the life of Sharon will take place on Friday at 12.00pm in Magheracross Parish Church, followed by a private family interment.

Sharon will be forever loved and missed by her loving family, family circle, and friends.

Today we were glad to welcome the Balfour family as we dedicated new hymn books in memory of their dear mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Patricia (Patsy) Balfour. A lady who was blessed with long life. She was a great example to her family, friends and neighbours and the wider community. To God be the glory.

Holy Communion 2

Magheracross Mothers’ Union held their opening Holy Communion Service this evening. Canon Lorraine led the service, Mary Cashel read the Epistle and Doris Byers the Gospel. Rita Stewart provided the music on the organ. Canon Lorraine’s sermon was on her favourite hymn ‘Be thou my vision’. During the service Canon Lorraine enrolled Pamela Howe as a new member. Supper was served and a business meeting took place.
