We’ve now come to the end of our 4 week storytime, where we read about Creation, the Serpent and the fruit, Jesus’ Baptism and the son of laughter (Issac).
We had fun making globes, doing art and discussing the stories. The globes light up which will look great in the dark.
Storytime will be on again after the Summer holidays but if your child is aged 8-12 and likes doing activities like this and other fun then you could sign them up to our Summer Camp days. Click the link for details

Today we read a story about an unusual man who looked a bit funny and ate ‘crunchy crickets’ (locusts) dipped in honey! 🦗 🍯 but he was also a very special man who Baptised Jesus 🙏🏻 before the Holy Spirit appeared in the form of a dove 🕊️and God spoke.
Does anyone know who the man was who Baptised Jesus? _ _ _ _
After the story, we done part 3 of the globe making - drawing and cutting out little animals and flowers to stick onto the areas which we painted green last week.

If you have a child aged 8-12 who enjoys crafts, songs, games, stories and other fun activities, you could send them to our Summer Camp days from 11.30 to 3.30 on 6th to 10th July. The booking link is on a separate post ⛪️

We had lots of fun today at Storytime.
After snack time, we heard the story of God creating the World and everything in it, named our favourite flowers and asked interesting questions about the story. Next we made papier mache globes with brown and blue paper.
The globes are hanging up to dry so next week we can add green paint to them so they will look like mini worlds 🌍 I wonder what will happen in the story we read next week 🍎

This popped up in my memories from 10 years ago. I still like my version better:

Faith is like accepting the potential existence of a black cat even if you can’t see it.

Ignorance is like refusing to accept the possibility of a black cat just because you haven’t seen it.

Fear is like closing your eyes because if you can’t see a black cat, it can’t be there, right?

Reposting here instead of a sermon tomorrow…

Only joking! 11am service at St Paul’s Kinlochleven. Bring your listening ears 👂
