Harvest season in full swing. Last Sunday in Rendham with beautiful floral displays and marvellous harvest loaf. Only problem was that not all the mice wanted to be displayed on the altar - they were more interested in coming to the harvest lunch in the village hall! Friday night harvest Festival in Badingham - there is something very special about evening harvest festivals, in my opinion. Thanksgiving continued with a lovely Harvest lunch in the village hall. This morning Harvest Festival at Bruisyard. ‘When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the Lord your God’.

Brilliant evening tonight at St Peter’s Cransford. Fascinating exhibition of photos and memorabilia of the people and way of country life from the past that makes Cransford what it is today. The organisers, Lucy, Sarah and Sue produced and edited a film featuring residents telling their family experiences and memories of growing up and living in Cransford, this was enjoyed by over 70 people. Prosecco and sausage rolls were served. Wonderful to think of all the stories that were shared StPeter’s has been a part of the community. The exhibition is open all day tomorrow 9-5 and the film will be shown throughout the day.

As schools begin a new term we take a moment to look back at our Messy Mornings. We thank God for all that was good in the summer holidays and we pray for children and staff beginning a new school year. We pray for those who are both excited and anxious, that they may be filled with the joy of learning and growing together and will know God’s blessing upon them.
