Members of the Badby community may wish to know that the funeral of the late Mrs Karen Alexander will take place at St Mary's Church at 1 pm on Wednesday 1 July, followed immediately by interment in the Cemetery, Brookside Lane.

Don't forget to book your ticket(s) for the BBQ, as we will soon have to confirm numbers to the provider!

Come and join in the Bells & BBQ event on Sunday 28 June to celebrate the return of Badby Bells after renovations.
Climb the tower to see the bells and see the view from the top.
Make the afternoon of it by enjoying a professional barbecue lunch in The Old Forge garden next to tower and home made puds from the church.
Please book your barbecue e-ticket by 19 June with [email protected]!
Displays of the project, all about bells and ringing, ropes and handbells in the church as well as have a go at ringing.
We want to start a new teenage team to ring our bells - be in at the beginning!

We have an opportunity to host a performance in Badby Church by a singing group, performing songs and scenes from the Savoy Operas (Gilbert & Sullivan) to help raise money for the Church. Before firming anything up, we wanted to get an idea of whether there would be sufficient interest from the local community in buying tickets costing around £10 each, as we would need to fill the Church to make it worthwhile.

The group, consisting of five singers and a pianist, would perform a selection of songs and lib from three or four shows in two halves lasting around 1 hour each, with an interval in between. The ladies are in ball gowns and the gentlemen in white tie and tails.

Is this something you'd like to come along to? We would offer a glass of wine along with each ticket, and an opportunity to buy more drinks during the interval. Please let us know!

Next Sunday 15th March we are celebrating Mothering Sunday at 11am in St Mary's Church, Badby. We are making posies during the service and inviting everyone to share our delicious homemade refreshments. Everyone is welcome and there will be plenty for all and something for all ages, so please join us at 11am next Sunday 15th March at St Mary's Church.
