Go Wild Challenge completed 6 out 9 topics. Well done anchors. Rain stopped us from doing our last one but you adapted and used crayons in place of flowers, leaves and blossom 🌸. You have great imagination. πŸ‘πŸ‘

Thank you to a member of our congregation who gave us envelopes with wild flowers seeds in them. They will be thrown into the anchors wild flower garden beside the North hall next week by the boys. You will be able to see the results later in the year maybe on your way into a Guild meeting. Thanks Margaret 😊 πŸ«‚

🎺 Dalmellington Band is delighted to welcome KlaksvΓkar Hornorkestur from the Faroe Islands for a very special joint concert! πŸ‡«πŸ‡΄πŸ΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ Ώ

The connection between our bands goes back many years through legendary cornet player and conductor Robert Oughton. Robert grew up in Dalmellington after his father became Bandmaster of Dalmellington Band in the 1920s, and he later went on to become one of the UK’s finest brass musicians.

In later years, Robert developed a strong connection with the Faroe Islands brass band community, working closely with bands there and helping to build lasting relationships through music. This concert celebrates that shared musical heritage and the special bond between Dalmellington and the Faroes.

Join us for an evening of fantastic music and celebration as our two bands come together in concert.

We look forward to seeing you there!
