Preparing Holy Trinity for our Easter celebrations.
On EASTER SUNDAY we celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus and the victory of the life and love of God over the powers of death and destruction as we give thanks that Jesus is alive - and comes to us with the promise of forgiveness and new life and new beginnings.
At 6:30 am we meet on the seafront near the County Buildings for a short service to greet the dawn of the Resurrection - and then have a light breakfast back in the Church Hall. If the weather is bad we will meet in church.
At 10:30 we have the Sung Eucharist for Easter Day as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus with hymns of praise and prayers of thanksgiving.
At 6:00 the Augmented Choir will lead us in a service of Choral Evensong, a service of prayer and reflection, music and song as we praise God and give thanks that Jesus was raised from the dead and life and love is victorious!

Join us at Holy Trinity Ayr on Maundy Thursday as we continue our journey through Holy Week.

At 7 p.m. we will gather in the church to celebrate the Maundy Thursday Eucharist commemorating the Last Supper and giving thanks for Jesus' gift to us of the Holy Communion. The eucharist will be followed by the stripping of the altars when the church is emptied of its decorations as we prepare for the coming hours when Jesus is betrayed by Judas and is arrested, his disciples flee and Jesus in the early hours of the morning is condemned to death.

All are welcome - and you are invited to join with us as we commemorate this holy day and the events that took place.

A POWERFUL re-enactment of the final hours of Jesus of Nazareth is to be staged in Ayr town centre TOMORROW NIGHT
Scripted and directed by local playwright Katie Lambert, the one-hour production will take place at 7pm on Wednesday, April 1, at Holy Trinity Church, behind the Gaiety Theatre.
Ms Lambert said: “The play takes us on an emotional journey, with Mary Magdalene – a devoted companion of Jesus – recalling events set in motion by his betrayal at the hands of a friend and follower: Judas.
"Haunting live music from Trinity Arts musicians will accentuate the mood throughout the show.
“We hope the experience will bring the true meaning of Easter alive for people who come to see it.”
The Ayr Passion Play offers a fresh take on the traditional medieval mystery play, exploring the themes of death, resurrection and hope through the eyes of Mary Magdalene.
Through drama and music, the production aims to connect audiences with the emotional and spiritual heart of the Easter story.

🐘 Café Fundraiser – Ayr 🐘
SATURDAY 7th FEBRUARY 2pm
We’re raising funds to bring Elephant Café to Ayr — a new community café built on inclusivity, connection, and belonging.

Elephant Café will serve reasonably priced homemade soup, scones, fresh bread, and pasta salads, open to everyone in Ayr. More than just a café, it will be a welcoming “third place” outside of home and work — somewhere to sit, chat, and feel part of the community.
Our focus is on affordability, sustainability, and local support, with future plans for volunteering and training opportunities. We aim to be especially welcoming to marginalised groups, including older people, those living with dementia, people with physical or learning disabilities, autistic individuals, and those accessing mental health support.
By supporting this fundraiser, you’re helping create a safe, friendly hub where everyone is welcome 💛
Come along, support local, and be part of something meaningful.
