Today we were blessed to welcome back guest minister Pastor Ricky Christopher, accompanied by his wife, Jackie. Having ministered with us on several occasions, Pastor Ricky brought a timely and challenging message on the signs of the times and the days in which we are living.

Drawing our attention to Scripture and current events, Pastor Ricky encouraged us to look beyond what we see naturally and to discern the times through spiritual eyes. He reflected on signs such as blood moons, intense heat, the darkening of the sun and eclipses, reminding us that throughout Scripture, God has used signs as warnings and indicators of what is to come.

He also challenged the Church not to become spiritually mediocre in an age of information, but to grow deeper in both the Holy Spirit and biblical knowledge. From the Tower of Babel to the rapid advancement of technology, increasing immorality and the emergence of transhumanism, Pastor Ricky explored the parallels between our present age and biblical prophecy, including the coming of the Antichrist.

Above all, this was a call for the Church to wake up, go deeper in God, recognise the times we are living in, and trust Him completely. The question is not simply whether we can see the signs, but whether we are spiritually prepared for what is ahead.

Statement from the International Offices and Presiding Bishop Tim Coalter

The International Offices of the Church of God of Prophecy, together with Presiding Bishop Tim Coalter, announce with deep sadness the passing of Bishop Adrian L. Varlack, Sr. We extend our heartfelt prayers and sympathy to the Varlack family and to the countless friends, colleagues, and spiritual sons and daughters around the world who were blessed by his remarkable life and ministry.

Bishop Varlack was a powerful, anointed preacher and one of the great statesmen of the Church of God of Prophecy. Larger than life in both presence and influence, he combined extraordinary wisdom with a keen historical mind and genuine kindness. He was beloved throughout our global fellowship and internationally respected not only within the Church of God of Prophecy but also among leaders of other organizations. His counsel was sought across denominational lines because of his integrity and scholarship.

For decades, Bishop Varlack faithfully served the Church in a variety of significant leadership roles: as Church Historian and Consultant to the General Overseer, Center for Biblical Leadership Instructor, Director of World Missions, a member and chairman of numerous Assembly committees, and in various advisory capacities that shaped the life and direction of the global Church. During pivotal moments in the Church's history, he was repeatedly entrusted with responsibilities requiring wisdom, discernment, and the confidence of the International Assembly and the International Presbytery.

As a global family, we celebrate a life marked by faithful service, scholarly excellence, spiritual wisdom, and steadfast devotion to the kingdom of God. While we mourn his passing, we rejoice in the assurance that he has now entered the joyous presence of the Savior whom he served so faithfully.

Please join the International Offices and the Office of the Presiding Bishop in praying for the Varlack family during this season of grief. May they know the abiding comfort and peace of the Holy Spirit, and may the Lord continue to honor the enduring legacy of Bishop Adrian L. Varlack, Sr., whose life has left an indelible mark on the Church of God of Prophecy and on the kingdom of God around the world.

As arrangements for a celebration of his life are made, details will be shared.

In today’s message, Pastor Albert brought a timely word of comfort and encouragement from Romans 5:1–5, reminding us that even in seasons of grief and suffering, our hope remains secure in Christ. As our church family continues to mourn the loss of loved ones through recent bereavements, this message points us to the unwavering hope found in God's promises.

Pastor Albert encouraged us to remember that while anguish and sorrow are a part of life, they do not have the final word. Through Christ, suffering produces perseverance, perseverance develops character, and character gives birth to a hope that will never disappoint because God's love has been poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit. This message is a compassionate reminder that God is with us in our pain, strengthening us, sustaining us, and giving us hope for both today and eternity.
