It's that wonderful time of year again! The Link to Hope Shoebox appeal is back, and we need your help to spread some Christmas cheer. Leaflets are available in the Welcome Space, so grab one and start filling a shoebox. Remember, all filled boxes must be with us by 7th November. Exciting news! We're hosting a popular Karibuni Quiz Night at Aylesbury Methodist Church with fish and chip supper or veggie alternative) on Saturday 11th October at 7pm. Tickets are £15 per person. Come along for a night of fun, food, and fellowship and help to transform young Kenyan lives.

Come along for a delightful afternoon of tea, cake, and songs from the musicals on Friday 19th September from 3.00 - 5.00 pm at Walton Lodge. This event is in memory of our dear friend Tony Noble, and all proceeds will support the Florence Nightingale Hospice. Holly Jones, Tony's granddaughter, will be performing to help raise £4,000 for the Hospice. Tickets are just £8 at the door. By signing up for our weekly reflections, you'll gain new insights into familiar Bible passages and learn how to help end injustice in your community. What a wonderful World Day of Prayer we had on 7th March at St Mary's Church! With 53 participants from various Aylesbury churches, we celebrated the theme "I made you wonderful," inspired by the beautiful culture of the Cook Islands. Together, we raised approximately £265. Let's embrace the message of Kia orana and remember that we are all made wonderful by God. Here's to living fulfilling lives!

Last night, our dedicated church steward Derek Adams was honoured with a 'Highly Commended' Award at the 2024 Make a Difference awards. His inspiring fundraising efforts for the RNLI, British Heart Foundation, and Cancer Research UK have taken him on a mammoth trek around the coast of Britain. As he embarks on the eighth leg of his journey starting in Glasgow, we encourage everyone to follow his adventures and support his charitable causes. This year, Aylesbury Methodist Church invites everyone to participate in our Harvest Festival on Sunday, 29th September. We are proud to support the Whitechapel Mission, which relies on our generous Harvest gifts to help those in need during the winter months. Every contribution counts, so remember that quantity is more important than quality. Whether it's a tin of baked beans or other non-perishable items, your donations will make a difference.
