A joyful morning in Axminster was had by all, as Bishop Moira led Holy Communion at The Minster Church for Trinity Sunday. We were also delighted to hear our historic bells ring out across the town welcoming the faithful to the heart of our town.

Our fifth Sunday of the month service in The Minster Church tomorrow, 31st May 2026 at 10.30am is one at which members of all the churches across the Axe Valley Mission Community will join together and celebrate Trinity Sunday. Trinity Sunday commemorates the Christian doctrine of God: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—three persons in one substance, an eternal community of love.

We look forward to welcome everyone and in particular the Rt.Rev'd. Moira Astin, Bishop of Crediton who will lead us. Refreshments will follow giving everyone to have conversations and fellowship with all.

We are stage struck on The Minster Green today with Axminster Musical Theatre holding a coffee morning, raffle, clothes, refreshments including cake plus bric-a-brac in the church rooms until 12pm. We look forward to welcoming back Jazz pianist Mike Denham who'll be performing tomorrow's lunchtime concert at the Minster. "When the Piano got Hot" is the title of his toe-tapping programme of Ragtime and Boogie-Woogie favourites. Come along for some respite from the heat as well as for some great music! All welcome 12.30pm to 1.00pm. Entry is free with a retiring collection.

What a busy day. Well over 400 people came into The Minster Church to cool off, have some refreshments, look around the Minster or participate in the children's arts and craft activities. Some meaningful discussions on faith took place too. Not forgetting the hundreds more that flocked on to the Minster Green and surrounding streets and purchase a myriad of locally produced food and other artisan items.

A Festival of Local Food & Drink. On and around The Minster Green, 10am - 4pm today, 25th May, 2026. The Minster is open to cool off, with refreshments and children's activities, plus some prayer stations or just a chance to view and take in the atmosphere of our beautiful Minster, the oldest building in town, the heart of Axminster.
