The Minster's own Director of Music, Peter Parshall is this Thursday's lunchtime performer. Come and hear him put the 1905 Norman and Beard organ through its paces. 12.30pm to 1.00pm. Entry free with retiring collection. All very welcome!

Praying for all at the festival tonight.

Public Statement:

Big Church Festival 2026 has been paused following a serious incident on site, and no further programme will take place today.

First and foremost, our thoughts and prayers are with those who have been directly impacted by the incident.

We understand this will be deeply disappointing for the thousands who have joined us at the festival.

We are working closely with the emergency services and relevant authorities. Further announcements will be made as more information becomes available.

We are grateful for the understanding, patience, and prayers of our community at this time.

Thankyou to a member of the public, who alerted us yesterday to the mid section fall of a branch from the Beech tree directly opposite the material shop.
The remaining branch was removed yesterday.

Come and say "hello" tomorrow morning, (Thursday 27th August) and join us at the Friends of The Minster coffee morning, from 9am-12 Noon in the Church Rooms and on The Minster Green. A fantastic range of raffle prizes and lots of bric-a-brac on offer too. Help us to raise much needed funds for the upkeep of The Minster, the historic heart of Axminster.
