It's nearly the end of this year's season of lunchtime concerts, but the 'firsts' keep coming! This week, we're delighted to welcome, for the first time, music students from Sir John Colfox Academy in Bridport under the direction of Alison Davies, who will be our performers on Thursday this week. Come and support these talented young people as well as helping to raise funds for the Minster's upkeep! 12.30pm to 1.00pm. All welcome and entry to the concert is free.

Come join us as we celebrate, growing, giving, generosity and share food together for our harvest season.

Axminster Helps is an initiative which was launched earlier this year by Axminster Town Council, providing quick, simple access to support for mental and physical health, financial worries, emotional support and local advice at a point of need.

A quick mobile phone scan of an Axminster Helps QR code found around town will take you to a website where you can choose the support you need from a succinct list of relevant support services in just a few taps - no account or subscription required and no lengthy directory to scroll through.

Councillor Trish Warwick, who brought the idea to the Town Council following a round table discussion at a multi-agency Youth Forum, said:

๐ŸŒพ Our Harvest Festival ๐ŸŒพ
Today, our whole school came together at Axminster Church to celebrate Harvest and give thanks.
A huge thank you to all the parents who walked with us and stayed to share in the celebration, and an extra-special thank you for all the generous food donations. These will go to our local food bank to support people in our community.
We enjoyed singing harvest songs and listening to poems by Y6 and Y2.
We are so grateful for your kindness and support!

It's always a special time welcoming over 350 pupils, staff, parents, carers and all those supporting children from Axminster Community Primary Academy to The Minster Church for their Harvest Festival. A mammoth operation getting everyone from the school and back again is so worthwhile so everyone can celebrate this vital time of harvest, particularly in this our rural community. As always, thanks to everyone who made it all possible. The joyful singing of the 'harvest samba song' made it all so much fun! https://youtu.be/NTdIrlTlXks?feature=shared
