St John the Baptist, Rothiemurchus The church of Saint John the Baptist Rothiemurchus, an Episcopal church on the outskirts of Aviemore, within the diocese of Moray, Ross and Caithness.

There is currently a small congregation of around 25 members led by priests the Rev Richard Gillings, Alison Hart, Tony Sparham and Jennifer Jones. We normally host two communion services a week on a Sunday and Thursday at 10.30 am, to which visitors are welcome.

Holy Week began on Palm Sunday with the celebration of Jesus riding into Jerusalem on a donkey adored by the crowds waving palm branches. Now we have a few days when the mood changes.
