This morning Aspley Guise Parish Council attended the General Purposes Meeting at Central Bedfordshire Council to speak on the subject of the Governance Review.

We are delighted to announce that our proposal to renumber the Parish Council to nine Councillors has been accepted in the final recommendations.

This was the Parish Council's ideal size.

We are very grateful for all those comments from the public in support of our proposal. We really appreciate your time and effort.

Why not join us? Just a few hours a month spent in friendly company can make a huge difference to the village.

Come along to St Botolph's Link Room on Monday 11th May at 7:30pm for a cup of tea, or pop along to our regular drop-ins at Moore Place on the last Friday of every month.

Did you know? Aspley Guise Parish extends closer to Woburn Sands than many realise. If you live inside the area indicated on the map, why not come along to a meeting?

Making recycling easier for you 💚

From Monday 30 March, you’ll be able to recycle glass bottles and jars through your dry mixed recycling collections and if you live in a flat, you’ll receive weekly food waste collections.

You asked for easier glass recycling and it’s happening!

It’s a small change with a big impact – easier recycling, better for our environment and everyone.

📆 Some collection days will change, and we’ll share information on this from mid-March.

Find out more on our website: centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/recycling

💚 Please share this post to help spread the word about the new easier recycling changes coming soon
