I am deeply concerned by the conviction of Pastor Clive Johnston. Peaceful Christian worship and the preaching of God’s Word should never be treated as a criminal offence.

Yet this should not discourage us. Christ is building His church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Our calling remains unchanged: to be faithful witnesses, to proclaim the Gospel boldly, and to do so with grace, humility, and love.

We reject harassment or intimidation of anyone. But we must not be ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God unto salvation.

Let us pray, stand firm, and continue to make Christ known with courage and confidence in the sovereignty of God.

Retired pastor Clive Johnston has been convicted for preaching on John 3:16 within one of Northern Ireland’s controversial abortion censorship zones.

Join us this Lord’s Day for our Palm Sunday services at Rock of Ages Evangelical Church.
