🗓️𝗔 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝗿𝘆🗓️
This September marks 160 years of St James with St Thomas Church - Poolstock being present in the community of Poolstock! To begin the celebrations, there will be a concert 'An Evening with Gilbert and Sullivan', which will be taking place on Sunday 5th July at 7:30pm.

The night will feature some incredible music, extremely talented international musicians and some summery refreshments. It's well worth coming along. Call the number on the image to book - tickets cost £10 per person with all proceeds going towards the work of the church.

Thank you to all those who came today to our Church Fair, especially those who helped practically and gave generously of their time and those who came and were generous with their spending! We had a lovely day, thank you!

Petrol cars in the UK generate a staggering 60 million tonnes of carbon dioxide every year, a major contributor to global warming. As a society we need to find ways to reduce this. As Christians we should be taking the lead. Caring for God's creation should always be our priority.

With this in mind why not look at car sharing when coming to church on a Sunday? If you know a member of the congregation who lives near you ask them if they'd be willing to share the transport responsibilities?

After family worship this morning some of us went to count plants and animals in our churchyard. We could see the benefits of the wild area which we've created.
