My father in law was insistent that he wanted an independent funeral director to carry out his wishes and we couldn’t have asked for more when we got in touch with Anthony Barton Funeral Directors. Anthony and Tammy are kind and considerate, sympathetic and empathetic. My father in law died late into the evening on a Friday night but when my husband called Anthony, within the hour he came to the house to collect him, with such care and dignity. He guided us through the funeral process and every single detail of what my father in law and us as a family wanted, he delivered. I’ve never met anyone so calm and unassuming, he’s the ultimate professional. In your saddest of hours, when you can’t think straight and you need someone to help and guide you, Anthony and Tammy did just that. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

Our Letters to Heaven postbox has recently had a beautiful refurb, giving this very special space a fresh new look while continuing to offer comfort and support to our community.

Located outside Anthony Barton Independent Family Funeral Services, the postbox is a place where anyone can leave letters, cards, or messages to loved ones who have passed away.

Every letter remains completely private and is never opened or read. Once full, the letters are respectfully composted and returned to local community flowerbeds here in Mossley, allowing love, memories and remembrance to continue to grow.
