Did you know? Our foodbank is so busy now, that we have an afternoon shift sorting deliveries and donations, an evening shift prepping parcels, and a morning shift packing and delivering. We also have an amazing team who help throughout the week, fetching, sorting and putting away deliveries, cleaning the fridges, answering the phone, managing the lists, organising fundraisers and food drives, and providing all sorts of help. What’s on in the Summer Term at St Mary’s and The Chapel…

Term time groups:

At St Mary’s (Vale Road)

Tuesday: Little Lambs Library (baby and toddler group) 10:00-11:30

Tuesday: Choir Practise (all welcome come and sing!) 20:00-21:00

Friday: Community Café 10:00-13:00

Sunday: Sunday service & sundayschool 10:30am

At The Chapel (Wharf Rd)

Mondays: Chapel Cafe 9:30-12:30

Wednesdays: Chapel Kids 11:00-14:00

Wednesdays: Chapel Craft: 20:00-22:00

Community Fridge: Open 24/7 in the car park, give what you can spare, take what you can use.

We also run Community Events, summer fair, prayer meetings, Bible study, home groups, stalls at fetes, food drives etc - contact us or keep an eye on Facebook!

All our groups are free to take part in, so that no one is excluded. We just ask for a donation if you can please. One off giving is a huge help, regular giving also helps us to plan, and budget for the months ahead - can you manage a monthly donation? Thank you for your support!

has been filled today by M from her Olio collection: sandwiches, filled wraps and filled batons. Plus sushi, mashed potato, vegetable medley and some bread. Enjoy everyone and thank you M!

Thank you Ash Vale Brownies!

We had a wonderful visit from the Ash Vale Brownies this week! They were working towards one of their badges by learning about the foodbank and making a difference in their communtiy. They learned what goes into a food parcel, how a foodbank works, and they even went shopping to practice some savvy....

news - a lovely local donor has just filled the Chapel fridge again from today's Olio collection. Sandwiches, lettuce, stir-fry vegetables, greens, beansprouts, sushi. Plus 6 batons. Enjoy x
