morning all, we have our fundraising bottle tombola stall coming up soon on Saturday 20th June at the Ash Village fair. We need bottles please! Anything from booze to bubble bath and from ketchup to cola!
Can you help? Please pop your donations in to St Mary’s or The Chapel whenever we are open, by Friday 19th, so we have time to label them up. Foodbank News: Did you know? We were very blessed to have support from the National Lottery Community Fund granted last year. We have been using it to help local people in need for many months, and it has made a huge difference! Did you know that in 2025 the Ash Villages Food Parcels Project fed 4600 people? We are hugely grateful to all our supporters and donors including this amazing fund. So, thank you National Lottery Community Fund, and thank you to all those who contribute by taking part in their draws. You make a big difference to people in their time of need. ! Have you ever been to St Mary’s? We are so blessed with the wonderful family of volunteers. From the PCC and Treasurer to the cafe team, from the prayer ministry gang to the brass cleaners, each one has a special gift, talent or calling. Some arrange flowers, some arrange quiz nights, we have talented local bakers, jam makers, a fix it team, a gardening & cleanup gang, church cleaning, invoicing, toddler group leaders, stewardship team, coffee rota, electoral roll officer, volunteers for events, people who give lifts, people who do a reading or prep the prayers, hall hire secretary, Chaplain, hearing aid clinic, choir, musicians, health and safety, safeguarding officer, washing up, AV, pitching in with odd jobs, home group leaders, pastoral team, parish office admin, foodbank helpers, sundayschool, church warden, and many many more - too many to list! There are so many generous people who serve in wonderful ways, and many of them do lots of different things. Please take a moment to send up a prayer of thanks and blessing for these lovely folk. And if you’d like to join in, come and talk to us!

Did you know? Our foodbank is so busy now, that we have an afternoon shift sorting deliveries and donations, an evening shift prepping parcels, and a morning shift packing and delivering. We also have an amazing team who help throughout the week, fetching, sorting and putting away deliveries, cleaning the fridges, answering the phone, managing the lists, organising fundraisers and food drives, and providing all sorts of help. Tuesday: Choir Practise (all welcome come and sing!) 20:00-21:00

Friday: Community Café 10:00-13:00

Sunday: Sunday service & sundayschool 10:30am

At The Chapel (Wharf Rd)

Mondays: Chapel Cafe 9:30-12:30

Wednesdays: Chapel Kids 11:00-14:00

Wednesdays: Chapel Craft: 20:00-22:00

Community Fridge: Open 24/7 in the car park, give what you can spare, take what you can use.

We also run Community Events, summer fair, prayer meetings, Bible study, home groups, stalls at fetes, food drives etc - contact us or keep an eye on Facebook!

All our groups are free to take part in, so that no one is excluded. We just ask for a donation if you can please. One off giving is a huge help, regular giving also helps us to plan, and budget for the months ahead - can you manage a monthly donation? Thank you for your support!

Happy Friday one and all! Our team are taking a well earned break this morning. Friday Cafe and all our regular groups are back next week, and our Sunday church service is on as usual 10:30am this weekend, all are welcome!

A huge THANK YOU to Speaking Volumes for our books grant! We have just ordered our books for and can’t wait to read the books with our little people and lend them for families to read at home. What an amazing scheme and such a blessing for all our young readers!
