Pray for rest also for all the volunteers on our CPC-MPC outreach stand and God’s blessing on all the conversations that were had and the literature and posters that have been distributed.
• Mon 15th June: Pray for our politicians and community leaders that they will be able to address the underlying reasons for the violence that broke out last week and continues to impact many innocent people.
• Tue 16th June: Please pray for the members of our fundraising committee as they oversee the final preparations for the Flower Festival that they will know God’s guidance in everything. Give thanks for all our volunteers so far and pray for more! Pray in particular for our creative director and all who will be arranging the flower presentations we look forward to viewing.
• Wed 17th June: Pray for all the choirs and bands taking part in our Flower Festival as they practice and prepare to lead us in worship over the Flower Festival that the joy of the Lord may be their strength and the source of their songs.
• Thu 18th June: Please pray for our Flower Festival catering team as they prepare to provide hospitality to many groups arriving across the weekend. Pray that there will be enough help throughout the three days across the two halls.
• Fri 19th June: Pray for the children of Markethill Primary School as they open our Flower Festival today and for the joint MPC-CPC choir leading praise in the evening. Pray that the opening message based on the festival title, ‘Consider the Lilies’ (Matt 6:28-29) will be of spiritual help to all who come. Pray for Norman and Sam as they preach throughout the weekend that they may know the Holy Spirit’s help and boldness.
• Sat 20th June: Pray for enjoyment of a whole day of hospitality and the evening concert with Hamiltonsbawn Silver Band. Pray for the delivery of the message, ‘Flowers mark the faithfulness of God’ based on Song of Solomon 2:11-12 that it will direct all who come to trust in God faithfulness.
• Sun 21st June: Please pray for the morning, afternoon and evening messages from God’s Word that they will accomplish God’s will in the hearts of all who hear them. Pray for the Mid- Armagh Community Network Choir singing in the afternoon and the Hillhouse Choristers in the evening that their words will help us in our adoration of God. Pray for the effectiveness of the messages that will be delivered today: ‘Flowers as a Contrast to the Word of God’ Isaiah 40:8, ‘Flowers as a picture of hope and transformation’ Isa 35:1 and, to close, ‘Flowers as a Picture of the Brevity of Life’ Psalm 103:15.

LOOKING AHEAD

📌Event and Outreach Prayer Meeting – Wed 17th June, Lecture Hall. Starting at the later time of 8.30pm.

📌Flower Festival – The Fund-Raising Committee are organising a Flower Festival which will take place in the Upper Church from Fri 19th June – Sun 21st June.
The festival will be open;
• Fri 19th June: 2pm - 8pm
• Sat 20th June: 10am - 8pm
• Sun 21st June: 2pm - 7pm
This will be a major event, which has been widely advertised and, we expect, will attract a large number of visitors from a wide geographical area. It also has the potential to raise a significant amount of money towards our new halls project.
Given the size of this event we will require support from the vast majority of the congregation and are therefore launching an appeal for assistance in a number of areas.
Up to 7 large church groups are discussing attending and there is a requirement for hot meals or tea/coffee. Sit down meals will be available for these groups at specified times in the Small Memorial Hall and tea, coffee, scones, and traybakes will be available throughout the event in the Lecture Hall. In order to cater for this, we intend to organise a number of catering teams on a rota throughout the 3 days. If you are available at any stage over this period and are prepared to help or can supply tea, coffee, scones, traybakes etc, please leave your details on the sheets in the porch.
Stewards will be required throughout the event for the inside of the church, the church grounds, to control parking on the road outside the Upper Church, the Small Memorial Hall, and in our new halls site. Again, if you are available, please leave your details on the sheet in the hall.
Finally, we have received quite generous sponsorship from business owners in our own congregation and in the local community and this will go some way to offset the costs of running this event. If you feel able to assist in this regard by making a financial contribution to the event, please speak to Mr Ronnie Totten, our church Treasurer.
Fliers for the Flower Festival are available in the porch to use to invite friends.

Pray for a period of rest and refreshment before he resumes his ministry full-time in the congregation of Drumreagh.
• Wed 10 June: Pray for the outworking of all decisions taken at General Assembly, that they might be implemented faithfully and wisely. Remember Rev Dr Richard Kerr as he is installed today and commences his year as Moderator, that he will know God’s guiding and the inspiration of the Holy Spirit in the year ahead.
