⚡️Saturday 23rd May ⚡️

Last night we had Alanna sharing on the letter M, Mordecai! A man who can very often be overlooked in the book of Esther.

Mordecai was surrounded by trial as Haman sought to kill him but through it all Mordecai relied on God and God delivered him from all evil!
Through the life of Mordecai we see the importance of serving God in a humble manner, giving God all the glory!
We are also reminded that God sees the bigger picture, he is working always for the good of those who love him, Mordecai was faithful and the Lord protected him!

A final takeaway was to NOT BE LIKE HAMAN, Haman had his ladder of success leaning against the wrong building, he cared to much for the glory of the world. Instead we as Christians are to lean on Christ and make him our firm foundation, that cannot be shaken when trials come our way!

✨Saturday 10th May✨

Last night Sharon Straghan joined us speaking on the letter L. Sharon chose to speak on Lot’s Wife— the only woman in the Bible Jesus tells us to remember (Luke 17:32).

Although only briefly mentioned in Scripture, her story teaches us an important lesson about obedience and priorities. God told Lot and his family to flee from S***m and Gomorrah and not look back. However, Lot hesitated, and Lot’s wife looked back, turning into a pillar of salt.

Sharon highlighted 3 key points for us to reflect on:

1. The danger of looking back
2. Obedience to God matters
3. Prioritise what keeps your focus on God

In our small groups, we reflected on how things like phones, sport, or relationships can distract us from God when they become our main priority. Nothing compares to what we gain when we put Jesus first.

✨Saturday 11th April✨

Last night at Youth we were joined by Grace, who spoke on the letter K — King David.
David loved God, yet he still made serious mistakes. He committed adultery and even planned for murder, but his story didn’t end there. David realised his sin, confessed, repented, and came back to God — and God forgave him.

Unlike Judas, who ran away, David ran back to God.

The reminder for us is powerful: no mistake is too big for God. No matter what we face or what we’ve done, God’s forgiveness is still available. We were encouraged not to doubt God and never think we’re not good enough, because God forgives those who come to Him.

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” — 1 John 1:9🙌🏻

We also watched the movie Letters to God. The little boy’s letters showed such simple, strong faith, and through them he helped the postman and others around him realise who God is. His trust in God reminded us that there is more to life than just living for the world — and that even small acts of faith can point people to God and make a big difference- definitely recommend to give it a watch! 🤍
