We are extremely disappointed and saddened to report deliberate damage to taps and sheds at the allotment site.
This mindless behaviour has caused real upset to our allotment tenants, many of whom put huge time and care into their plots. The damage to the taps will now have to be repaired at the Council’s expense — meaning public money that should be supporting community projects will instead be spent fixing vandalism.
This incident is being formally reported to the police as a crime. If any residents have information, CCTV, doorbell footage, or witnessed anything suspicious, please pass it directly to the police as soon as possible.
This behaviour is unacceptable in our village, and we will do everything we can to support the police in identifying those responsible.
