For those who are seeking and searching, and for those whose faith is firm, our church aims to help people to develop and strengthen their faith in Jesus. Our main service is service of Holy Communion at 10.45 am each Sunday.

Sunday June 14th

9am - Family Time. (Looking after God’s world) – 45mins of interactive games, story and activity, plus of course the parachute! Biscuits, drinks and buns for all. Led by Lay Minister Sara and the FT team
The activities are aimed at 4-12 year olds, but children of any age from babies to end of primary school will enjoy themselves, as will parents and family! – absolutely EVERYONE welcome! Just turn up and there’s no such thing as being late!

10:30am Holy Communion, with Rev’d Sue.

1-30pm onwards - Churchyard maintenance afternoon. All welcome to join in - we have several tasks, weeding and tidying of our burial plots, refurb of the Garden of Rest area, tidying of green waste, planting of flowers and veg in the raised beds, trimming of the new hedging etc. Refreshments and drinks provided. If you can donate any plants, compost and large plant pots they will be most welcome! (Bring your own seats to guarantee a seat!)
If the weather is bad, we will postpone to the following week.

SUNDAY JUNE 14TH
Advance Notice

There will be a get-together of gardeners in the churchyard on June 14th between 1-30pm and 3-30pm to undertake maintenance and planting outside church. Jobs will be trimming of hedges, bushes and trees, planting of flowering perennials, weeding, maintenance between burial plots, er****on of bird boxes and creation of a new hedgehog haven and refurbishment of the garden of rest area. All are welcome to join in, and various refreshments will be provided. Please bring any useful tools, and donations of compost, large plant pots and any spare flowering perennials you may have will be welcome.
If it is chucking it down on the day, we will postpone for an evening during the following week.

10:30am: Holy Communion, celebrated by Rev’d Wendy with assistance from Sara. Grand reopening of the Kitchen after recent encounters with Appley Bridge wildlife!!
All welcome.

WATCH THIS SPACE!
A date will be set for an afternoon of work in the churchyard soon, to include cleaning the grave plots, planting summer flowers, maintaining the fabric and planting vegetables. We will be picking a decent afternoon, likely a BBQ and refreshments will be part of the deal. More info soon!

Our church craft group meets every Thursday from 2pm to 4pm. Any crafting skill welcome, there are projects under way in support of our Christmas Fair, but anyone with an interest in crafting is welcome. Refreshments are served throughout the afternoon. The craft group is led by Linda Cunliffe. Just turn up and make yourself known!

All Saints welcomed the 1st Wrightington and Heskin Scout Troop at a parade service in church recently. The group meets at All Saints School and comprises the following sections:

Wolf Cubs (Boys) aged 8-10/11
All Saints school 6.15-7.25pm Mondays evenings during term time.

Scouts & Senior Scouts (Boys) aged 10-17
All Saints School 7.30-9pm Monday evenings during term time.

The Troop would also welcome any parents who would like to step up and become a Beaver Leader(s) so it could re-open its Beaver Colony, for boys aged 6-8 years.

Members enjoy camps and parades during the year, and would also welcome any potential new members who would like a taster evening, which can be extended to a month with no subs required.

We celebrate Holy Communion, presided over by the Rev John Mountain, with the service starting at 10-30am. All are welcome at this service - provision for young children at the back of church as usual, and refreshments served after the service.

ASCENSION DAY AT ALL SAINTS.
7:00pm Thursday 14th May - our joint Ascension Day Service with our Christ Church family at All Saints on Finch Lane. The Rev’d Sue will be presiding over this special Communion service. All are very welcome to join us to mark the 40th day since Easter Sunday. Refreshments will be served after the service to give us a time for a chat and a catch up.
