7/8/21. He prepared a city for them.

An inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade kept in heaven for you. Here we do not have an enduring city, but we are looking for the city that is to come.

Be patient, then, brothers, until the Lord's coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop and how patient he is for the autumn and spring rains.

We how are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord for ever. Therefore encourage each other with these words.

5/8/21. The joy of the Lord is your strength

Shout for joy, O heavens; rejoice, O earth burst into song, O mountains! For the Lord comforts his people and will have compassion on his afflicted ones. Surly God is my salvation ; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord, is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation.

The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song. My soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with jewels I will be joyful in God my Saviour.

3/8/21. I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him for that day.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For he chose us in him before the creation of then world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ in accordance with his pleasure and will.

We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

2/8/21. Do not fear for I am with you declares the Lord.

for a brief moment I abandoned you, but with deep compassion I will bring you back. In a surge of anger I hid my face from you for a moment, but with everlasting kindness I will have compassion on you, says the Lord your Redeemer.

Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed , yet my unfailing loved for you will not be shaken not my covenant of peace be removed, says the Lord, who has compassion on you. O afflicted city, lashed by storms and not comforted. I will build you with stones of turquoise, your foundations with sapphires.

29/7/21. BY his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death.


Our Saviour, Christ Jesus has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.

He will swallow up death for ever. The Sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears from all aces; he will remove the disgrace of his people from all the earth. The Lord has spoken.

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and self -discipline. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and staff, they comfort me.

28/7/21. God chose the weak things of the world shame the strong.

The Lord turned to him and said, Go in the strength you have Am I not sending you? But Lord Gideon asked, how can I save Israel? My clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family. The Lord said to Gideon, You have to many men for me to deliver Midian into their hands. In order that Israel may not boast against me that her own strength has saved her.

Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord Almighty. Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.

24/7/21. God is light. In him there is no darkness at all.

While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son purifies us from all sin.

The Father has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light. For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
Your are all sons of the light and sons of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness.

22/7/21. My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one.

Blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe.

The Lord is faithful. and he will strengthen and protect you from the evil one. But out of reverence for God I did not act like that. Who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father.

To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy to the only God our Saviour be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Chris tour Lord, before all ages, now and for evermore! Amen.

20/7/21. I know that nothing good lived in me, that is, in my sinful nature.

All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags.

You were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. The splendour I have given you made your beauty perfect. declares the Sovereign Lord. May the favour of the Lord our God rest upon us.

These are they who have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. To present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.

18/7/21. Whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe.

The Lord is exalted, for he dwells on high.

God who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgression it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus.

He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

Broken cisterns that cannot hold water.

Come let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens. The Lord scattered them.

Then I applied myself to the understanding of wisdom, and also of madness and folly, but I learned that this, too, is a chasing after the wind. For with much wisdom comes much sorrow; the more knowledge, the more grief I undertook great projects: I built houses
for myself and planted vineyards I amassed silver and gold for myself. Yet when I surveyed all that my hands had done and what I had toiled to achieve, everything was meaningless.
If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink.
