Antrim Royal Black District Chapter No.3

“And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.” (Luke 24:27)

The risen Lord Jesus had joined with two of his disciples as they journeyed from Jerusalem to Emmaus, but they were held back from recognising him. Jesus had asked them why they were sad, and they had described to him his death on the cross and the report they had received of his resurrection. These were events clearly found in prophecy in the Old Testament, but which these disciples hadn’t understood, and so our Lord and Saviour opened up to them the Old Testament scriptures which foretold of the promised Messiah and what would happen to him. Please pray for preachers of the gospel today as they seek to follow the example of our Lord Jesus in faithfully expounding the scriptures.

Tonight the District officers visited Olive Branch Antrim RBP 512 for their installation of Officers.

Sir Knight W. Young completed his tenure as W.M. and W.M Sir Knight J. Chestnutt and D.M Sir Knight W. Moreland were newly installed respectively.

Following the installation Sir Knight Young was Presented his PM collerette and Certificate by W.D.M

Tonight the District officers started their monthly commitments for Installation of Officers in Preceptories!

District officers were warmly welcomed to Ballyhill.

Congratulations to all re installed officers. The district look forward to attending Red Cross Volunteers RBP 286 on Thursday Evening 🇬🇧

Top of the Town is a Bar and Restaurant located at Fountain Hill in Antrim. An Excellent place with something on every night of the week and Food Served 7 Days a week.

𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗚𝗛𝗧 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:” (2 Timothy 3:16)

At the beginning of another new year it is a good time to remind ourselves about the doctrine of scripture. The sixty-six books of our Bible all have one thing in common and that is they were all written under the inspiration of God. God in his wisdom used the many different writers to write in their own style, but yet they were guided in the Holy Spirit in what they wrote, so that we have indeed the very word of God in scripture. When you read your Bible remember that it is God who is speaking to you, teaching you what to believe about God and also what duty God requires from you, the only rule of your faith and practice.

🔴⚫️ CHEQUE PRESENTATION ⚫️🔴

On Friday 21st November, Members of the County Antrim Grand Black Chapter joined the district to present 3 charities with donations from the County booklet sales.

A great number of Sir Knights turned out to support this and the Charities were grateful to receive £2000 each.

Charities were:
OG Cancer NI
MacMillan Unit AAH
Air Ambulance NI

Each charity received their donation and gave a brief insight to how the money would be used.

The night ended with Tea and Biscuits.

We hope to see this continue onto Larne District Next Year.
