🌈 As we enter Pride Month we want to let everyone know that they are beautifully and wonderfully made.

At Andover Methodist Church we aim to be a fully inclusive church and welcome people regardless of their sexuality.

We are registered to hold both straight and LGBT+ weddings and are proud to be partnering with on 20th June to offer a quiet space for those who need it.

If you have been excluded from church or faith because of your sexuality, we are sorry. God never excludes but always embraces. You are loved.

We head into Easter week, often called Holy Week next week.
On Thursday we have a simple candlelight service, called Tenebrae, where we tell the story of the last few days of Jesus' life.
Then on Easter Sunday we gather for breakfast at 9:30 and a celebration service at 10:30am.
You are really welcome to come to either of these services.

Today is the start of Lent. A period of 40 days (excluding Sundays) when we remember Jesus’ 40 days in the wilderness.

To start this period we will be sharing in Communion and an Ashing Service at 12pm today at our church building on Bridge St.

As we mark the start of LGBTQI+ History Month, we join together in this prayer 🙏

Loving God,
Show us the way to make our worship spaces and congregations welcoming to all who seek your face.
Cause us to lift the barriers which prevent us from being welcoming.
Change the hearts of those who do not welcome difference and who are reluctant to embrace the full gospel of Christ.
All are welcome.
We are one body.
One Church.
