Linda continues to look at Psalm 104 on Wednesday June 17th.
As God placed the water into the valleys and ravines it became a source of refreshment for all the creatures, and by sustaining the plants provide habitats and food. We know too well the importance of water in our lives and are aware of the third world countries that often have droughts to contend with. Unfortunately developed countries don’t always treat the water with respect, using it to dump our sewerage.

Penny's prayer for Monday June 15th.
Yesterday at our Cafe Church we thought about the wonders of God's creation in many ways. We also considered how we as humans have not looked after our world so well.

Carollyn's prayer for Sunday June 14th.
In Matthew’s Gospel chapter 10 the 12 disciples are introduced by name. Jesus calls these the ‘labourers’ in a harvest of souls.’ He tells them to go out amongst people. We can do that by the way we live, the way we speak with fairness and integrity.

Hugh's Prayer for Friday June 12th.
I was recently in a number of situations where I was aware of a number of people who were experiencing health or personal security issues. Fortunately, they shared their feelings and it was heartening to see how quickly the people around them responded positively to their challenges. Help and moral support were readily offered to them.

Thanks to all, MU members and others who came to our house and garden today for the Mother's Union Shared Lunch. Not as much time in the garden as we hoped but thanks to the Warkworth Singers for singing in the kitchen. Funds were raised for the Mother and Baby box project and we are almost at the target. You can still give! Thanks to all our friends. Penny and Colin.

Linda is taking us through Psalm 104. Her prayer for Wednesday June 10th.
Psalm 104 goes on to describe how God controlled the waters so that the mountains appeared and the rivers had a place of their own, with boundaries that could not be crossed so that the land would never be flooded. I was encouraged during my study of this part of the psalm to think about the boundaries we have to bring order in our lives. My mind touched on financial boundaries that can sometimes bring us stress but can also lead to order. I was feeling very tired and realized that that can be a boundary to enjoying life. Overwork and tiredness is something of my own doing.
