Join us in prayer a Pride Month, shared by Pam Gold, Coordinator of the Solidarity Circle for LGBT+

Loving God we thank you for the richness of Diversity which you have created.
As we go through the month of June, when the LGBTQ+ community celebrate Pride, we ask of you:
Teach us the real meaning of 'All are welcome' where all are fully and richly included in every aspect of our Christian Lives.
Reach out to those who do not know you yet but are seeking.
Work on the hearts of those who cannot accept us, that they may have a change of heart and mandate a willingness to be inclusive.
We thank you God for the love you give and we trust that even now hearts are being touched by the power of your Holy Spirit.
Amen.

Happy Pride Month. 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈 Advance Notice
Newcastle Pride, is a little later on Saturday July 25th.
9.30am, Northern Lights MCC Pride Service at St James' URC, Northumberland Road.
12 -1pm approximately The Pride March begins at the Civic Centre.
Throughout July, there will be inclusive interactive prayer stations in Newcastle Cathedral.
12-5pm Folks from ' The Cathedral ' will have a space in the Market Village at Grey's Monument.

This is from the Presbyterian Church in the USA, a powerful statement in response to the horrendous violent threats from the current president and their administration. However, given the rise in anti transgender rhetoric in the UK, it's worth reading and sharing this positive affirmation and unconditional support for the Transgender Community who face an increasingly hostile environment here also.
