😇A Visit from St Mary’s Open the Book Team😇
A big thank you to the St Mary’s Church Open the Book Team, who visited our school for the first time last week to share the wonderful story of The Good Samaritan. The children listened carefully to the story and our Year 4 children did a fantastic job acting it out. They really brought the story to life and showed great confidence, enthusiasm and teamwork.

The story of The Good Samaritan reminds us that kindness is for everyone. The Samaritan chose to stop and help someone who had been hurt, even though he was a stranger. These messages are just as important in our world today. We talked about how we can be good neighbours by noticing when someone needs help, including others, showing kindness and treating everyone with care and respect.

Kindness is something we value greatly in our school. We encourage our children to look out for one another, celebrate differences and make choices that help our school community to be a happy and caring place. Thank you once again to the St Mary’s Open the Book Team for visiting us and sharing this important story. We look forward to welcoming you back!
