EdenPromise Community Church RE:Discovering Community We desire to see Christ changing lives across the Scottish Midlands.

The EdenPromise Community of Called Out Believers of the Scottish Midlands is an Arminian, Post-Conservative, Evangelical, Charismatic-Pentecostal, Anabaptist, Missional House Church, in a Missional Ecumenicist & Pietist vein, with a vision to plant various self-replicating home-groups. It holds weekly home groups, which we call STORM groups, and the whole community comes together in monthly servi

ces to reach out to the local area. EdenPromise is a relaxed home-centred community church, which uses contemporary Christian worship (without rejecting traditional hymns), and sound, bible-based teaching, that is clearly relevant and applicable to everyday living. We desire to seek first God and above and beyond all things, the praxis of this Church is seeking the face of God, with an underlining in acceptance, and leaving conviction of sin up to the Holy Spirit.

And by rising again Jesus made a fool of death and sin. He showed us what folly our sinfulness was and is. His death and resurrection makes a fool of the wise man, for by his stripes we are healed, by his death we are set free, and by his resurrection we become one with God.

"...holy solitaries is a phrase no more consistent with the gospel than holy adulterers. The gospel of Christ knows of no religion, but social; no holiness but social holiness."

If the goal of your church is meetings, then you aren't really a christian community, just a bus with alot of travellers listening to the same radio...

Hi there,

One of the things ‘neglected’ up until now has been to put together a ‘formal’ or ‘official’ prayer partners team, who will commit to praying for and with us.

We are very aware that people have been praying for us on this journey, but we now feel it is important to formalise this, so as to dynamically move into our next phase, the creation or set-up of a Plant Launch Team.

Part of this ‘initiative’ is to gather together monthly to pray for the EdenPromise Community [Church] plant here in Alva and the Scottish Midlands, those at a distance will be Skyped (or equivalent) into the prayer meetings, as well as regular prayer points newsletters.

We’re not sure on all the details at the moment, but if you would be interested in praying with us and for us, we’d appreciate it, if you could contact us via email: [email protected] or via the Church Office landline: 01259 236289 or mobile: 07903123377, just with basic contact details.

Thank you.
Regards

Ed & Hannah,
EdenPromise Community Scottish Midlands Plant Pastors
