What a busy summer!
We had 3 holiday clubs across the circuit full of children and young people having a brilliant time.
Thank you to everyone that put in so much time preparing the clubs and working hard throughout. We had some fabulous volunteers from our churches and an impressive group of young people who were there for each holiday club, working hard. Thank you to each one of you!

Although our holiday clubs are over, our normal activities for children and young people are starting up again for the Autumn term. Why not take a look at our website and see what your local Methodist church has on offer?!

We are devastated by the serious incident that took place at Big Church Festival 2026 today, in which a sign fell, injuring at least seven people, one of whom tragically lost their life.

First and foremost, all of our thoughts are with those who have been affected, their families and friends, and everyone who witnessed what happened.

Following today’s incident, we have made the decision to bring Big Church Festival 2026 to a close.

This Sunday we have a united circuit service at Cornerstone Methodist Church at 10.45.

This is a service of worship and communion and also recognising long service awards for local preachers and thanking Jackie and Glayne for their ministry at Cornerstone, Sevenways and Partington. I am assured there will be cake.

We are very excited that our new probationer minister Louisa Taylor has moved in. As from the 1st September the ministry team is focused in the following ways

Superintendent and South Trafford - Rev Jackie
Cornerstone, Partington and Sevenways - Rev Louisa
The Avenue and The Village - Rev Glayne (who will work .49 time)
Telugu - Rev Raj - one day a week

This Saturday we have a Stay and play on at Cornerstone- perfect if you need a free, simple activity for preschool aged children 😊

Starchasers holiday club got off to a great start at The Avenue this week. If you know anyone who would like to come, we still have spaces.

Perfect weather this afternoon for a baptismal service at Partington.
We joined together for the baptism of 2 adults and 1 reaffirmation of baptism.
A wonderful time of celebration followed by tea and cake!
Our prayers are with all 3 people as they continue in their faith journey.
