Today it's the day when Drop In returns!

It is literally what it says on the tin - a space to drop in, for kids to play some games, have a snack & do some crafts, and for parents/grandparents to get a much needed cuppa at the end of the day!

Open to all pupils across Altrincham, we'd love to see you there!

Head to the Old School Building (next to the church, tucked away behind the funeral directors....)

šŸŽ‰ Hurrah! This week all of our children’s groups are up and running - why not come along and be part of them?

They’re open to all children, regardless of what school they go to, whether you’re part of St George’s or not, or whether you’ve ever been to one of our groups before.

There’s lots to choose from:

šŸŽØ Drop-In – Tuesdays after school
A relaxed space for children and their grown-ups, with games, crafts, snacks and plenty of time to chat.

šŸ•ŗ Twist & Tales – Wednesdays, 10.15am
Dance, movement and fun for little ones & their parents/grandparents - plus a cuppa and some grown-up conversation too!

šŸŽ¶ Alty Trebles – Wednesdays, 3.45pm⭐
Our FREE children’s choir, offering musical education, friendship, confidence-building and the chance to discover the joy of singing together.

šŸ’ƒ Dance Fitness for Kids – Wednesdays, 3.45pm⭐
Brand NEW for ages 8–11! Fitness without the pressure - just great music, movement, friendship and lots of fun.

You don’t need to know anyone before you arrive, and you certainly don’t need to be brilliant at singing, dancing, crafting or anything else!

We can’t wait to welcome everyone back , and hopefully meet lots of new faces too!

And how much have we missed this lot?!

Term has officially started, so our Junior Church & Toddler Session is back!

We just loved seeing them pick up their friendships, enjoy exploring their faith, and adored their excited chatter as they came in after communion to share about all they were doing.

What a gift!

If you would like to be part of it, our Junior Church & Toddler Session is on at our 9.30 service during term time; just turn up and Dee and her team can help you find your feet.

We are also starting a new Youth Churxh for the older crew on the first Sunday of the month, starting in October! Watch this space....!

šŸ‚ September is finally here, and once again, the familiar rhythms of life starting once again!

Have you wondered about making church part of life's rhythms?

Week by week, we simply turn up. Sometimes full of faith, sometimes full of questions, sometimes needing some peace, and sometimes simply because it’s become part of the rhythm of our week.

We pray, sing, share bread and w**e, hear another part of the Christian story, and slowly but surely familiar faces become friends and a place becomes a community.

So, as everything gets going again this September, perhaps this is the Sunday to come; whether you’re returning after the summer, haven’t been for years, or have never tried church before.

⛪ 8am – quiet, simple and reflective
šŸŽ¶ 9.30am – our main Sunday service, with Junior Church & our Toddler Session

And a final shout out to our hirers before the busy really gets going!

is a friendly, welcoming fitness class specifically aimed at women in the perimenopausal and menopausal years. Gail tells us that "Most of our lovely group are over 50, and the emphasis is on getting stronger, fitter and more confident in a supportive and encouraging environment.

It's as much about the people as the exercise, to be honest. We’re a friendly, chatty group where everyone cheers each other on. There’s often the added bonus of delicious homemade protein balls after class too!"

Classes are Ā£10 pay-as-you-go, or cheaper when you book a block of 8, and take place on Thursdays at 6.45-7.30pm at St George’s Old School Building. As a member of St George's, your first class is free, so come along and see what you think!

šŸ‘‰You can find out more by heading to Gail's insta account:

And if you’re looking for a characterful space for an exercise group, performance, community event or something a little different, we’d love to hear from you too.

šŸŽ¶šŸ’ƒ This time next Wednesday… things are going to be rather busy at St George’s!

Our new term starts this Sunday, and Wednesday afternoons are going to be full of music, movement, fun and opportunities to try something new!

šŸ•ŗ Twist & Tales
For our littlest ones! A friendly dance and movement group for toddlers, with plenty of opportunity to wriggle, move and burn off some energy - while grown-ups get a cuppa, some company and the chance to meet other families too.

šŸ’ƒ Dance Fitness for Kids
Our BRAND-NEW class for ages 8–11: A relaxed, pressure free way for children to get moving, have fun and make new friends. No dance experience needed!

šŸŽ¶ Alty Trebles
Our FREE children’s choir with our new director, Tessa Tang! A chance to sing brilliant music, develop musical skills, grow in confidence and be part of a really lovely group.

šŸŽ¤ Singing Lessons
Want a little more individual attention? Tessa is also offering 30-minute one-to-one singing lessons available for both children and adults; whether you’re a complete beginner, want to build your confidence, or are looking to develop your voice further.

So, whether you’ve got a child who never stops singing, one who needs to burn off a bit of energy, or perhaps you’ve always fancied having singing lessons yourself, why not make this the term you try something new?

šŸŽ’ School’s is back… and this time next week, so is Drop-In! šŸ™Œ

Those first few weeks back at school can feel rather full-on, so our Tuesday afternoon Drop-In is deliberately simple.

Come straight from school, grab a snack, find a game, get stuck into some crafts, games or lego - or just find somewhere to sit, chat and unwind for a while.

There’s no complicated programme and no pressure to join in with everything. It’s simply a friendly, relaxed space for children and their grown-ups to spend some time together after the school day.

šŸŽØ Crafts
šŸŽ² Board games
šŸŖ Snacks
šŸ’¬ Time to chat
😊 And a warm welcome

Parents and carers stay too, so it’s also a chance for grown-ups to meet other local families, have a conversation and find a little community in the middle of the week.

šŸ“… Tuesdays
šŸ•ž 3.30–4.30pm
šŸ“ St George’s, Altrincham

Come every week, come occasionally, bring a friend or just turn up and see what you think. We’d love to have you. šŸ’›

šŸŽ¶ Got someone in your house who loves to sing? Or perhaps you’ve always fancied having a go yourself?

This September, our new Alty Trebles Director Tessa Tang will be offering two different ways to get singing at St George’s.

šŸŽµ ALTY TREBLES : completely FREE!
Our children’s choir is about much more than learning a few songs. It offers children free musical education — developing their voices, learning to read music, building musical skills and experiencing the joy of singing and performing together.

There are no auditions and no previous experience is needed. It’s also a brilliant way to grow in confidence, make friends and be part of something really positive.

šŸŽ¤ ONE-TO-ONE SINGING LESSONS — Ā£23 for 30 minutes
For children and adults, Tessa is also offering individual singing lessons.

Perhaps your child would like to develop their voice further. Maybe they’re preparing for a performance or audition. Or perhaps you’ve always loved singing but have never quite had the confidence to have a lesson.

Complete beginners are very welcome too!

Whether it’s joining a choir for the first time or discovering what your own voice can do, there’s no need to already be ā€œgood at singingā€ — that’s what learning is for! šŸ’›

Come and make some music with us. šŸŽ¶
