Rekindling St Augustine's

This page has been rather quiet for a while, but that doesn't mean that nothing has been happening: we're thrilled that our restoration/reordering project is underway at last!

At the end of 2024 we appointed Doonan Architects to head up our project, and since then they have been busy with grounds and building surveys, drawing up plans, assessing heating needs etc.

We aim to have finished all the planning and development work, the grant applications and obtaining permissions, by the end of 2025, and to start work in 2026, finishing by St Augustine's Day 2027.

Will there be ways you can support us? Undoubtedly! Look out for details in the coming months.

UPDATE: Covenant Service POSTPONED.
There will be a simple service of Holy Communion at St Augustine's instead - please only come if it is safe to travel!

Tomorrow we join our Methodist friends at St Wulstan's for their Covenant Service at 11am.
No service at St Augustine's, but - weather permitting - there will be a 9.30am Holy Communion at Holy Paraclete Church, Kirkhaugh.

We are sorry but we are going to have to cancel the Euks Akimbo concert, which was to be held at St Augusines' Church on the 24th December. We will be rescheduling the concert for the Spring.
