It was with immensely contrasting emotions that I (Rev. Michelle) announced, on Sunday, that I will be leaving our lovely church in October.

Sadness to be leaving a parish and community that I have been so blessed to have been a part of for almost 7 years. . . and to be leaving so many lovely people, and families, and organisations that I have grown so, so very fond of, and consider to be extensions of my own family . . .

Contrasted, with excitement and love for a family, and community that I have yet to fully meet. . . as I leave St. Mary's in order to become the new vicar of St. Hildeburgh's Church, in Hoylake.

I will miss you all dearly, both at St. Mary's and St. Philip's (Hassall Green) but I leave in the belief and trust, that I am continuing to follow our Lord's call, and going to where I believe I am being led to serve him anew . . . just as I followed him to serve you all here in 2018.

TODAY

SUNDAY 15TH JUNE . . .

In the far distance on this photo is St. Philip's Rose Queen Lucy . . . Lucy's reign ends on Saturday when Theia is due to be crowded. . .

As a final fundraising effort for St. Philip's Hassall Green . . .

Lucy set off early this morning to walk from St. John's Sandbach Heath to St. Mary Magdalene Church. Alsager . . . Lucy, her brother Tom, and Mum Emma, all arrived at St. Philip's just in time for our Trinity Sunday service . . . After the service and some nourishment in the form of juice and biscuits they set out again for the final leg . . .

The three exhausted walkers are expected to arrive at St. Mary's around 1:30 - 1:45

If you can spare 10 minutes, please come along and great them as they arrive . . .

Lucy has been an awesome Rose Queen and raised a great deal of money towards the upkeep of our incredible PINK church in Hassall Green. . . We are so very proud of you Lucy!

Well done to everyone who took part in yesterday's car treasure hunt . . . As far as I'm concerned (Rev Michelle that is) I think we're all winners (especially as that's the only way my team will win! 🤣🤣)
Huge thank you to Brian Haley and Julian Goodrich for the amount of work which was put into planning it . . . It was fabulous fun. And the food afterward at the Bears Paw in Warmingham was truly excellent. . . The steak burger was exceptional!

The actual winners medals will be announced / presented in today's 10.30am service at St. Mary's. . .
