Thank you so much to everyone who helped, and all who came to our Easter Trail today. We had lots of fun, got creative with the cross at St. Andrews and learned that God loves us very much.

Heavenly Father,
in darkness and in light,
in trouble and in joy,
help us to praise your name,
and let the light of your love shine through us.

Lord Jesus, Light of the World,
we think of those today who are afraid, hungry,
grieving, anxious, lonely or in pain.
Please surround everyone in need with your love and comforting presence.
May each person know your peace and receive the help they need.

Holy Spirit,
please equip and direct us each day,
so that through our actions,
we might be salt for the earth
and a light guiding the way to you.
Amen

Today, Friday 31st October, marks the beginning of Allhallowtide, a traditional period of reflection and remembrance for those who have died, encompassing All Hallows' Eve (Halloween), All Saints’ Day, and All Souls’ Day.

This time of year is an important opportunity for Christians to talk about loss and grief. Reminding one another that because of Jesus there is always light in the darkness, and to share with others the hope we have knowing death is not the end.

How is your church community marking the season?

🕯️

Lighting a candle can be a helpful way to pray for a situation or remember a loved one. You can do so at home, in your local church or virtually at https://buff.ly/RJlh1RA
